I would like to know why the one section of the map is blocked off but not blackened out. Maybe this has something to do with the glyphics. Why else would they be there? It doesnt make sense to work on something that really has nothing to do with the relativ situation. I mean new mombasa is a battle ground between, obviously humans, brutes and apparently elites. Why would something of religous or cultural stature be involved with the war torn streets. Unless it has something to do with what they were digging for, or a kind of spell to keep the engineers in the area. There seems to be secerets to this game, but bungie did not add enough of a campaing to learn the story. Ive listened to the logs and ive payed attention to the story but i still dont understand much more than brutes are attacking new mombasa for something that they want from underneath it. I dont know what they want, why they want it but i killed brutes, jackals and grunts and saved virgil.

they are looking for the portal to the ark from halo 3, you can see it in the levels the storm and floodgate

The teleporter is under the city of voi, which is a way aways from new mombasa. What they are looking for that is under new mombasa can be seen in the legendary ending of ODST. but we don't know what it is.

Noticed a few things.

In sector six, there are tons of little bluish dig site lights glowing everywhere. I tried to destroy them with every weapon imaginable, but nothing happened. Finally, I used a beam rifle on the cinter, and the light exploded.

Ironically there is a beam rifle near the BELIEVE site.

When I shot the light, music came on, and the Engineers got pissed.

There are more lights like these, but they're all over district 6, and I think you have to destroy them all.

You know what I noticed? By pretty much every significant place (dead elites, triangles, etc.) there is a Beam Rifle with full ammo. Hmm. . . I will have to try this. Beam Rifle the glowing bulbs right?

Also BELIEVE. . . .7 letters. Coincidence?

Snipers work to, i just tried

Btw, just get up close and melee the blue lights. Its not as tough as you're making it to be.

  • 10.06.2009 6:22 PM PDT

I remember saying earlier that whenever I shot the column with the SI face on it, one of the blue lights would turn off/on.

edit: shot not hot

They respond to movement, either you or an enemies, so it could just be coincidence.

The below phrase is false
The above phrase is true.

R2R:6/1

hey, there's a pattern of where the engineers and where the stonehedges are... it's specific, but i can't seem to find the right one.

Hey those symbols in the Glyph. Is there a chance they match up to any of the markings on the Elites in matchmaking? there armor has has that writing on the shoulders. I'm in college right now so I can't check, but somebody should.

I make a legitimate thread on the most logical choice for the next Bond actor, and you take that away from me by creating a parody thread indirectly connecting my thread to yours.

I hope your kids have bad influences and develop bad personalities. I wish this with all my heart.

No, you're think of Halo 2's Secret of the Gate, where a switch was placed off the edge of a platform, floating in midair, on on of the Delta Halo outdoor levels as the chief. (the platform where you fight the hunters that get dropped in)
Everybody found random closed doors outside of level boundaries, but nothing the switch opened. People just gave up; the switch never opened anything.

i havent read the whole thing, but if you get out of tayari plaza in the beginning, you can find the shrine type thing during the day. search it up on youtube if you want to see for yourself

sorry for double post, and sorry if this has been said, but the Y shapes look like the Asklon logo, on a bunch of posters throughout mombasa streets

  • 10.06.2009 7:57 PM PDT

im just saying. maybe asklon is a company and one of the buildings is their head office. The engineers might want us to go there lol

No im just wondering. Good find. Do u happen to have a pic of one of these posters or where they are located? Can u derive anything from the posters?

  • 10.06.2009 8:02 PM PDT

Just read through 37 pages. Actually I was at work most of the day and I didn't get any work done because of this thread and my own investigations LOL

Thinking back to the ending of Halo 3 where you had to jump through the rings in sequence. Perhaps some of the glyphs disappear or don't appear because you're not looking at them or interacting with them in the correct order? I don't know, it's just a shot in the dark.

Add me on live, radiKS613 if you wanna do some exploring, I'll be up for a while.

Cheers and keep up the hunt!

  • 10.06.2009 8:04 PM PDT

i dont have a pic but there really easy to find. From the shrine just go through the doors and look on the walls. One poster has a list of cities on them. I made a thread about this about the time this thread started

Well, this is depressing. It seems our search hasn't turned up much, and for the time being, it looks as if the door glitch was a load error.... We don't what to do things via "glitching". If it has to be glitched, hexed or modded, then it's not an Easter Egg. Stuff that is well hidden, funny or little mementos left by Bungie are the Easter Eggs we want to find.
