I don't believe the doors opening are loading glitches, Bungie isn't known for loading glitches. Besides in a post (I can't remember where at this point) It just says that you need to go into sector 6 and see that the glyphs are there and then return to 8 to see the door opened, which is what that kid did in his "disproving magical doors" page. So just don't factor that out because I think that is actually one of our best leads.

Woah. Could you interact with it in ANY way?

I miss the days of Halo 2.

I actually do believe it is a loading glitch, because I have opened different doors in many different sectors without even looking at glyphs, I simply go into a certain sector and wait until it says 'checkpoint done' and then something opens up. It HAS to be a loading glitch.

Anybody need a lucky driver?

i will put up pics on my file share so u can see wat i saw. There are still two places of interest to me. Plus we could only get to the blacked out areas that have barriers and not the doors. However, there are parts in the campaign that have these blocked off areas and we could get to those places.

Has anyone notices that there are six rooms that have those doors that lead to open spaces? two of them have doors which can not open. I think that if there is sumtin that it is in one or both of these places.

Those doors that seem to open while being near glyphs are not opened by the player, they are already open. Furthermore, these doors while closed do not have blue highlights around them like other unlocked doors. And finally, While I have done this on several different occasions, I don't always get a 'checkpoint done' message. However, you state that all you have done is gone into a 'certain' sector, and waited until a 'checkpoint done' message came up. If you had more information as to where you were and the circumstance were as to why the 'checkpoint don'e message came up, then we could find out why the doors open 'by themselves'. All information when trying to prove theories is a plus in here, especially if your trying to disprove what we have found in the last 39 pages.

If someone could log down what kind of glyphs you see when you go to each place that has them that would be great. Also, If you go to a place twice see if there is a change and try to put out possibilities as to why they changes (i.e. you got more audiophiles and went back, you discovered more secret places and went back to that one again. I would do it now, but I'm really tired.

One thing that happened to me was the dissaperaing and reapperaing of glyphs. The room with the SI glyph without a face. . . .I went there, there where glyphs and I killed everybody, went back later, no glyphs at all, went back a third time, glyphs reappeared again. I know it has nothing to do with the Engineers because I killed them and the glyphs turned on and off, which means they couldn't have turned them on and off if I killed them from the begenning.

All I saw was a video for Valhalla and another swat video. I'm guessing B.net got backed up or something so it will have to catch up.

a.k.a. Daishi_NRE back in the day when b.net stood for Battle.net.

This is old news but, yesterday some things were posted about the dumpster next to the 'BELIEVE' graffiti. I did notice something to explain why the lid closes. On a RvB behind the scenes they show that the physics engine doesn't always place items on flat ground. When someone walks by the object, it shifts. I tried that, and that ws the case. It got bumped, which in turned closes the lid. So, we can rule out anything to do with the closeing lid theory.

There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

You know what some of those glyphs look like to me? The little gismo in the movie 9 (great movie btw). They look so similar to me.

Subject: The truth about the Sword in ODST

Sorry if any of this has already been posted, I have only read up to page 10.

Are there any numbers in the 3 "stonehenge rooms"? because if there is you could use the numbers as distances, and the rooms as points, and triangulate onto what is hopefully a sword.

Also, i have found all the audio logs, but there appears to be supply caches stil unaccesible? maybe there is something you can do to trigger their opening, revealing a shiny new sword!

(btw i would laugh so hard if there arent enough charges in the sword to get a frenzy, if there is indeed a sword)

a.k.a. Daishi_NRE back in the day when b.net stood for Battle.net.

I have seen the closed caches as well. And yes, they can be opened. However when I got them to open, they were empty. No weapons, glyphs or SI icon. I had 2 open at the same time. Sorry, I don't remember where. But, I do remember that they werre within line of sight of each other and that I was next to a security door with the large SI glyph and the waterfall wall.

Team Swat king? Help/Join me on my way to 50

I think its a loading error =(

I first showed my friend the closed door in district 8 (coop) and then went to district 6 to look at the glyphs. Ofcourse they werent there because they dont show up in coop. But when I went back to the door it was open and we could enter...

Glyphs don't have to appear to open the doors in D8. I just did it myself. There is something else that 'triggers' them.

Actually, with what i know, 5 dark areas has already been explored, and the roofs of New Mombasa during the mission "Kizingo Boulevard" , and no sword was found by this way.
We have some clue that the roof's way could be a possibility to go through some dark districts (1, 2 or 7) with an automatic loading sequence, but that's not verified yet.

Here's a map of the dark areas & districts

Tepec, still working on it

You know what I noticed? By pretty much every significant place (dead elites, triangles, etc.) there is a Beam Rifle with full ammo. Hmm. . . I will have to try this. Beam Rifle the glowing bulbs right?

Also BELIEVE. . . .7 letters. Coincidence?

Ooh, I like this. Also with the BELIEVE thing: someone said the SI bleeped 4-3-3-3 6-3-3-3 at them in a room on Data Hive IIRC, and Districts 6 and 4 are where most of this weird stuff is... what are the fourth and sixth letters of 'believe'? Don't those 'Y' glyphs look just like a V on top of an I? ^_^
