1. "Vav" is not the Hebrew letter for Y but rather V (and sometimes W).
Okay, my mistake, however the "Y" still stands for 6. I must have heard something differently from my friend.
2. The "number of the beast" (666) is found in the book of Revelation, which is the newest book of the New Testament. This means it wasn't even originally written in Hebrew (and never has been). There is no connection there.
I admit this assumption was a bit of a stretch, but I wouldn't shoot it down as unfeasible. The "Y", again, does represent 6.The only stretch we made from this was that Since this does revolve around Dante's inferno, and that the devil is involved, we thought that these glyphs might represent him. 3 points on a Y, 3 sixes= 666.
Also, I think the date of when Revelations, and Dante's Inferno was written is very irrelevant. Things can be derived from multiple sources, you know.
3. other than the fact that Din is also a city, there isn't really a connection between it and Mombasa
This I must strongly disagree. You missed my point completely somewhere. The City of Din actually has walls which surround the 6th Circle Down. The 6th,7th,8th, and 9th circles are considered the city. The entire game takes place within a City (seeing connections?) AND, if I'm right Street Level Represents the 6th level, and that is why there are so many 6 references. I've got some hard concrete evidence for this one, read my post again, then try to prove me wrong.
4. The Si isn't rampant. It's a "dumb" AI, and unlike Cortana and other smart AI's, it can't think for itself (isn't self aware). Quoted from the Halopedia: "An A.I. literally "thinks" itself to death. Dumb A.I.s do not have this problem as they do not learn anything that is outside of their set limits of dynamic memory processing matrix".
This could stand up, but unless I specifically see "Rampancy does not affect Dumb A.I.'s" I'll hold my ground, hahaha.
In addition, the man the SI kills is no innocent. If you had gotten all 29 of the audio files, the man lives, and he goes with you. You later find out that he was responsible (under the orders of Commissioner Kinsler) for the death of Dr. Endesha, Sadie's father. You get the final (30th) audio log in the freezing part of the labs, past a locked door which is opened if you have 29 logs. From this log you find out that the freezing is caused by argon, which the police officer flooded the lab with to kill the doctor.
In fact, the SI congratulates you for killing the soldier yourself saying: "Crime doesn't pay. Good citizens do their part".
You actually proved my theory/restated stuff I covered, thank you.
