The whole spilling blood thing looks like it might work. In Bucks mission (Plaza?)where he faces the 2 hunters and says that "he doesn't have time for this", when he enters that section with the female marine that sugests that he go "behind" the brutes. on the 2nd floor, there is a T intersection in the hallway that has a dead marine and some grenades and a closed door. I just tried that "spilling blood idea" and that door, as well as another to the open area unlocked. I didn't see anything in it, but when I left the section and came back, the doors were locked again. The Elites that I shot/melee'd for blood to spill were located in the section just north of that locked area. I believe that's where Buck asks what happened, when he sees the dead Elites in the dead end alley. Not much, but it does seem to open up certain areas!

This needs to be further expored nticed it waS ONLY MENTIONED TWICE I AL 54 PAGES.

Sorry, didn't want to quote that entire thing, it was long. Vergil (SI) is clearly the guide through hell as Virgil was in the Inferno. Now whether Bungie decided that SI was to be both the guide and the devil is up for debate but I believe the widely accepted thinking about the Inferno is that Dante looked fondly on Virgil. The reasoning for his presence in hell the result of him merely dying before the Crucifixion of Christ making him doomed. Virgil also wrote the Aeneid which is about the founding of Rome. Clearly the guide through hell is a good character, much like Beatrice who is likely only not the guide in hell because Dante couldn't bring to put her IN hell.

Now with that said, it is still plausible that the SI is supposed to Lucifer but I would say that Lucifer hadn't arrived yet and that he is actually Truth (or wisdom). Truth is the ultimate betrayer in this story, basically trying to destroy the entirety of galactic civilization starting with his betrayal of his own people for power.

Smart and Dumb AIs are sort of like people and dogs and Rampancy is something akin to insanity. Now people are very much capable of being driven insane or even bringing themselves to it (usually those people come to insanity by thinking about certain things excessively.) Dogs on the other hand, like dumb AIs, don't naturally go insane. The are carnivores but they aren't mindlessly violent usually and their intelligence pretty much inhibits the kind of thinking that would drive a person insane. That is not to say that they can't go insane. Personally I'd say that both Dumb AIs as well as dogs can become insane through the influence of outside forces. For Dogs, we would probably attribute it to rabbies. It's very possible that this has happened in some way or another.

I found the same in Halo 3 Beta, why they even designed a face for Master chief. It led to nothing, but you on the other hand could be onto something.

Wow it seems like this is being overlooked, that is definitely interesting... You can also see the giant O glyph on the side of the structure, also that there is a trail that wasn't seen before going down towards whatever it is... That's some weird stuff.

Ok, so I may have just found something, I'm not sure.
It may have already been found before, but maybe not.

I found something interesting in to the plaza where you find Dare's pod (but obviously when you're playing as the rookie
). (There is also another plaza identical to this one and it has the same thing I found.) It has already been discovered that there is a special glyph (Y form with SI glyphs in each sector) that can be found in both these places and that it changes when you leave. Well, on the other side of the plaza (towards where Dare's pod is) underneath the building you can find a door that is similar to the door that the special SI glyph is on. In the lower right corner of that door there is a red button that says "ACCESS".

I punched the button, shot the button, and blew up the button, but nothing seemed to happen. Nearby there are some Spike Grenades. I have no idea if they have anything to do with it or not. On the map, right behind the door (if you're in the twin plaza, not Dare's) is one of the locked areas that you can't get to.

Like I said, I have no idea if this has been found or not. If it has then I just wasted 10 minutes typing this, but whatever.

EDIT1:One of the locations is in the area where you start Buck's first mission. It is also where the firefight level "Crater" takes place. If you can find that one, you can look at your map and find another area that looks identical (It's also almost right next to it).

Once you get there, you'll be at the top of some stairs. To see the super SI glyph go down the stairs and turn around and go under the stairs. To see the "ACCESS" button go down the stairs and continue forward until you are under the stairs on the opposite side. Both the super SI glyph and the button are on the center section of their corrosponding back walls. The 2 plazas are identical in formation and both have the SI glyph and the button.

EDIT 2: Ok, new find.
The "super SI glyph" I have been talking aboutm I believe it does NOT appear at Dare's crash site, but the "ACCESS" button is still there.

Also, the other "mirror" plaza is covered in glyphs, like dozens of them. It's the only place in the game that has lots of glyphs but doesn't point to a mission or audio log (I believe). It seems strange to me that the plaza would be covered in glyphs if there was nothing there...

Please, someone see if I just stumbled onto something, I've searched the area for a long time and I can't find anything, but maybe one of you can...

a.k.a. Daishi_NRE back in the day when b.net stood for Battle.net.

Jayden0208

The reason my accidental "secret room" was only mentioned twice is because it was debunked as a loading glitch. It's still interesting though. Anything that I find on here and the SGP site I try to configure into that room. Nothing has uncovered anything as of yet.

On another note: The monitors/signs/posters that you come across have a tendancy to change based on triggers. Try different things to change the triggers and you will find out that the monitors/signs/posters will change to reflect that. We just need to find the correct triggers to activate "something". I believe that the monitors/signs/posters that do change are scripted. But, if triggered in the right sequence, they will trigger something else. I'm currently playing around with this idea, but have not discovered anything special. . .yet.

Alright watch my video and you will see some brutes struggling to hold down an engineer and activating the charge that makes them explode. I don't know if this is something unique or not but I haven't seen it before. Anyone want to check this out and comment on if that normally happens? I was on Mombasa Streets on Easy and I do have all audio logs. Maybe if you can take the one activating the charge out quick enough the engineer won't explode anymore...? Anyways if I uploaded the wrong video let me know too.
Engineer Video
EDIT: It doesn't start right at the part just watch for a bit.

Is it possible to stop the brutes from putting the bomb on the engineer? I know one time I ran into the group with a mongoose while they were in the process of doing so. I just never tried to stop them. I won't be able to play for a while so can somebody try it to see if it possible.

I'm not sure I will try later tonight to stop them from putting the bomb inside the engineer.
