My Construction contains the Instruction for my Self-Destruction through the World's Corruption

if you're going to correct me, spell right. Anyways, there are more than four brutes in the next section. To say bill past due is to say that the covies and the humans are already allied. what that means is that we have already had a chance to give them what we got, but didn't. For this statement to be true, it is suggested that we are already allies with the covies. The SI would know that the covies failed from alternate cameras. The only question I have is how he would know we are allies. This is after the blast and the com= was shut off. The ONI must have already been allies at the beginning of Halo 2. Why the bloodshed?
Seems to me that Bungie kinda screwed the timeline up on this unless someone can explain it to me. By the time John 117 went into slipspace with Regret, then accessed and landed on Installation 05, and ended up killing him, a day or at the very least 6 hours should've passed, between the slipspace event and the death of Regret. Even then, the news of his death (and the handing over of power from the Elites to the Brutes) would've taken more time and even more-so the eventual rising up of the Elites took even more time which is the primary explanation for the dead Elites in ODST.
In ODST, we're lead to believe from Buck's story, that the elites were killed right after if not during or before the slipspace event (which doesn't make too much sense since in H2 we were fighting Elites up to the slipspace event). That would imply either Bungie screwed up or that the Brutes do this quite often once the Prophet of their fleet leaves the scene (In other words, something else was going on, as LeBlanc172 has pointed out, possibly in league already with Oni)
Not only that, but 30 days later they're interrogating Vergil. I don't believe MC was gone that long during the events of Halo 2 up to the point of him slipspacing back in the Forerunner ship with Truth (because the interrogation certainly didn't happen during H3, it had to have happened before hand), but perhaps more is revealed in the Halo Comics that show the events between H2 and H3.
