"I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart."

i think you need the ghost to get to where the sword is because thats odd hows theres just one solo ghost in MS

Could the fact that where you find two sword hilts near a dead elite in Tayari Plaza, right next to them is the word "BELIEVE"? It could be just an easter egg to halo 3 that just happened to be next to swords, obviously. Or could it be "BELIEVE" as in "believe there are swords, because it's true." Just a thought.

@maverick~:It's more likely a tribute to Halo 3's "Believe" campaign ads.

@Everyone else: Has a sword actually been found in ODST yet? I followed this thread for awhile when it first popped up but it hasn't been updated since October 2009...

Brigadier

Why doesn't a hacker just look at the programming code and see if there is an energy sword somewhere in the code?

  • 05.15.2010 9:37 PM PDT

Or maybe these medals could be in ODST due to the fact that it is a re-skinned halo 3.

History is nothing but a lot of point of views written down.

But didnt they have to do that to find the final skull (rings) in Halo 3? Or were they not aloud to do it?

Has been done before. Apparently there are the sword spree medals, but the sword is not in the game unless someone actually finds one.

The best event in the Halo series was the grunt rebellion!

Listen to some of this on, this site.

I have an idea that their is swords. not the ones in tayari plaza but as an easter egg like in a secret room!

"Here. You may need these. High velocity, armor piercing. They'll take the hat of an elite at 2000 yards. And they ain't cheap."

its been almost seven months i honestly do not think there is a secret room or even a sword in the odst campaign. we may never even figure of what the glyphs mean... maybe they are just there to make the environment seem somewhat alien idk...

NON-BELIEVER!!!!!!
Yeah well how many years went by before people figured out the world wasn't flat. Why don't you take your opinions and make a forum thread against there being a sword in ODST? If not then STFU and pretend that you believe there is one.

I've been searching for the sword everytime I play ODST. I've found all of the audio files, a lot of dead Elites, and glyphs. Along with a couple of secret rooms I never expected to find.

so what exactly are in the secret rooms? anything at all or is it just like empty with those stupid glyphs?

Think I found something don't know if anybody noticed this yet or anything. I was lookin around one of those "stonehonge"places(the one with a very big circle on the wall, a little waterfall, and two engineers) I decided not to instantly kill the engineers like I usually do, but just to follow them around and stuff. If you don't atack them for long enough, they start coming to you, sometimes letting down their shields etc. The thing I noticed is, that they are scared as hell of snipers.... If you walk with your smg, they come to you, start floating around you and all.

Then if you equip a sniper they fly away in fear, reactivating their shields, making squaking noises and folding together their bomb things...

Don't know if anybody noticed this yet

Don't forget that romeo sniped one to save buck so they may have seen/heard this

NO SOUP FOR YOU

Either this is Bungie's version of the Davinci code, or you guys made up some CRAZY theory! Intersting though, the stone henge things have to do with something out of the ordinary...

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I'm kind of busy right now, so sorry for not reading the previous posts (I will later!), how many of these "Stonehenge" like places are there in ODST? If there's three, have we tried triangulating them and seeing what's in the middle (here's a map http://www.msxbox-world.com/features/Halo-3-ODST/index.php )

i think there is three? and that is a great idea!

  • 06.09.2010 2:14 PM PDT

I think for one thing your going to need multiple people to get to the sword. Without a doubt. Just like in halo 3 where people would get their friends and they do certain button combinations or a certain sequence of events to get to easter eggs. Or like in halo 3 where to get that one skull u couldnt trigger the checkpoint or its gone. Maybe thats the trick. Idk just some ideas.
