The pillar of autumn made a random slipspace jump to lead the covenant away from reach(Which is the start of halo1.) On that ship Master Chief is stored and the pillar of autumn launched from reach. So we might find out how MC got in there and some history probaly? If any info here is invalid just correct me hehe

Close, but no cigar.

The Pillar of Autumn jumped away from Reach because it was obvious that Reach was doomed and the crew of the Autumn needed to complete their mission: to capture a Covenant ship, use it to travel to the Covenant homeworld, and capture a prophet for negotiations. The Covenant followed the Autumn and both factions stumbled upon the first Halo ring. Master Chief was put in cryo sleep just like the rest of the crew throughout the slipspace journey. He just wasn't woken up until the Covenant started attacking the Autumn.

Edit: And yes, the Fall of Reach is a VERY good book that I highly suggest reading.

yeah he's in reach

Honestly, this topic made me think of something. Even if we don't play Master Chief in Reach, he'll almost definately appear: Think of it, not everyone's read the books, not everyone knows how Master Chief got to Halo from Reach, and I'm sure plenty of people are curious, and I'm more than certain Bungie will shed some light on the matter for those people. Interestingly enough, this topic has pretty much confirmed for me that MC will at least appear in Reach, most likely at the end.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

We already found out in the books.

He never actually fought on Reach, he lead a mission to an orbital platform with a team of 2 other Spartans, Linda and James.

James wound up floating through space, and Linda nearly dies. He rushed her to the Pillar of Autumn to put her in Cryo-sleep, and then the Pillar of Autumn fled before he could get back down to the planet to aid the other Spartans. He then entered his cryo tube and a few weeks later they arrived at Halo.

that would be pretty cool if Reach was similar to ODST where you play as multiple different Spartans, and yeah like Poof Monkey said MC should appear in the end

That's going to be cool, always wondered where MC would have been before Halo1. This makes me 99% sure that we atleast get a few signs of him.

Here is how the war started. A human(marine) and elite were sitting at a bar. The elite looked at a beautiful girl and said, "Mmm, I want some of that." The human heard him and said, "Bi*ch, thats my girl!" He pulls out a pistol and fires several bullets in the elites mouth. "Lick dem bullets bi*th."
The elites friend returns from the bathroom and escapes to tell his superiors what happened. Well, there you have it. The start of the war.

Was bored and hopefully I made someone laugh :/

Cortana played it out to be a random slip space jump because that was what the Cole Protocol demanded. Stumbling upon the Halo was technically not an accident. She purposely input data stolen from a Covenant Ship, not knowing where it lead but knew it was important. This data happened to be the area of the Installation from Halo 1
