I have a question that may be strange. A week or so ago, 3 of my friends and myself were playing in the map Chiron TL34, and one of my friends shot me and he should have killed me, but it said I was killed by "the guardian", and my friend didn't get the kill. We couldn't figure it out, since none of our names were remotely similar to "the guardian", so we chalked it up to us being tired or reading it wrong. Then, a week later we were playing in the map Chill Out, and "the guardian" killed me when my friend (the same one that got his kill stolen by the guardian the first time) should have. What is going on? Has this happened to anybody else? My only theory is that his xbox is posessed. THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!! THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!!

The Guardians are a secret force that take care of retards. These alien beings are basically invisible, and go unnoticed by us clumsy Humans and Covenant. They have the capabilities to rip a sentient life form to shreds at a molecular level. By essentially dissecting your body's atoms into different piles of elements, the Guardian can destroy any life. These parts are then used to make new spartans, which is why you respawn after you die. Often, there are leftovers, and these are then turned into banana splits.

if you get really lucky, you can sometimes kill a guardian. they are small and fast and tough, so it's hard to hit them enough to kill them. once my friends and i set up a game on damnation just so we could try to find and kill a guardian. we had to chase it way out of the map and all over the place. ya know where the water comes out in the big open room in damnation. i think one of those 3 slots is a gateway to the guardian's home. also, if you manage to get down to the bottom of that level, if there is a guardian down there, he'll fight you face to face, but it's nearly impossible to beat it. i took rockets down there and blasted a guardian a few times, but he was too quick and he ran away. i managed to chase him through his gateway to the guardian's home. when i got there, everything was weird and small like a gnome village. this backs the theory that the guardians are gnomes. all the collected master cheif bodies and extra powerups and weapons were stored there. ya know the flamethrower that didn't make it to the final game, well, you can see it in the gnome village, but not use it.

we also tried to find a guardian in battle creek. we did see one, but he ran off too fast for us to watch where he went. i bet there are multiple ways into the guardian gnome village. if i had the equipment to take screenshots of my halo game, i could try to get back to that village and take a screenshot.

Usually when it says you were killed by the Guardian, it means when two people in multiplayer kill each other at the same time, and the xbox cant decide who killed who, so it just says one killed the other, while labeling the other as being killed by the Guardian. I think its somewhere along the lines of that. In your case, though, only one person was killed, so I don't know what to say except its a glitch.

I don't know, since we (my friends and I) often kill each other simultaneously, but this was the first time we've ever seen this happen. It could be some sort of Easter Egg or some random code or something.

Just melee eachother so that you die at the same time and it will say "you were killed by the guardians. It's happened when my friend and I were out of ammo. Let's just say that we couldn't quit laughing but whats strange is that it isn't even funny.
