Sick of having a game release during school?
Annoyed by children with no worries skipping school and bragging that they finished the new Halo game before you?
Lets try and get Bungies attention with this.
Answer yes if you would like Reach to be released during the holiday paeriod to crush other games then.
And so this thread is not spam, please post you horror stories on how this weekday school time release affected your life.

All that will mean for people who spend time with their families is that they will have to go spend the day with them while all the nerds get to play because they dont care about their families.

ODST was released in holidays, just not yours. The australians had a great time, so why are you complaining?

I'm in America, so everything should be based around me.

PM from Equus Asinus: "Calling me a moron for somthing wich you have no part in is stupid. Maybe if you used proper grammer I would feel you as a threat. But, I think you owe me an apology."

How about just deal with the fact that it'll be released when they're done with it rather than abiding by your schedule...

I'm A-OK on it being released during a school day. I reserve games I want to get, so I'm assured a copy. I will just go pick it up after.

Rather have my hands on the game earlier than wait for it longer, regardless of school.

Why would you want them to pre-maturely release a game?
Let them take their time. You cant rush something great.
Think before you post a stupid forum topic. Plus if they release it during this holiday it will just get crushed by the rolling juggernaught that is: Modern Warfare 2
Let MW2 phase out over winter and spring, then release the Beta to get hype, then release the actual game late next year.

I want the game when it's done, not at a time that is merely convenient for me.

Were it so easy.

Let Bungie take as long as they need. Hell, if they push it back to 2011, sure I'll be pissed, but at least I'll know they're doing what they can to polish it.

This has to be the worst forum in Halo Reach Forum history. Its mere stupidity deserves a lock and permaban...

If there was an "I love you!' Button, I would have just pressed it. In Slow-Motion, just for the added awesome.

In the days of old, there were legends of a land long lost to time. This land was known as Ranna'Mor. Ranna'Mor was said to contain in its borders 7 warriors. These warriors had once unleashed a veritable hell upon the ancient world, until they were locked away. My name is Toriad, and I am one of those warriors. Our return is approaching. Do not run away, do not cower in fear; take solace in your final days, for that is all we can do. -Legend of Ranna'Mor

No, when the game is released, it's released. The idea of releasing the game in the early fall is for the sake of the holiday season. Can you imagine how bad the lines would be if such a game were released in, say, early december? All these parents, aunts, uncles, etc would be waiting in line to buy this game for someone. This would also actually prevent a lot of people from play or getting the game, either because someone bought it for them and the receiver must wait, or because a person has spent so much on others and has little money to spend on his/herself.

When releasing a game in early fall, it allows for more people to buy and play it right away, and when the holidays come, the game is out and people can buy it off the shelves with little to no worries about getting a copy or waiting in even longer lines.

Regarding the kids skipping schools: Going off the standard school system, it's better to miss a class at the beginning of the year in fall than to miss on during winter (right around the time of mid-year finals) or during late spring (end of the year finals).

Fall releases are the ideal. The only time better would be a summer release because most people are out of school and/or have more free time.
