Fleet Battles
For the moment I am going to get straight to the point and tell you that for these space battles a player is going to be flying a large ship of the UNSC Navy or the Covenant.
Yes, I know the Covenant Navy outpowers the UNSC Navy 3 to 1 but, for the sake of multiplayer purposes i think that each team has its own advantages/disadvantages so I will go through 1 ship of each the Covenant and the UNSC to give you a brief idea on the fair gameplay depending on the teams.
Covenant
CCS-class Battle Cruiser
Plasma Torpedo - Higher damage than MAC though slower and can be avoided by other ships.
Plasma Turrets - Used against longswords or seraphs (50mm point defence guns equivalent).
Pulse Laser Turret - side by side combat (Archer missles equivalent).
UNSC
Marathon Class Cruiser
MAC - Not as destructive as the plasma torpedo though faster travel, when on target a ship cannot escape.
50mm point defence guns - Used against longswords or seraphs (Plasma turret equivalent).
Archer Missles - side by side combat (Pulse Laser Turret equivalent).
Pre-GameLobby
-2 leader's for each team will be randomly chosen to Command an Assault Carrier or Phoenix-class Colony ship.
-6 other players will be chosen to command 3 Battle Cruisers or Marathon-class Cruisers.
-8 players will be chosen to fly seraphs or longswords.
-2 teams of 16
-Gametype and map will be chosen
In-Game
-Both fleets close in to each for a minute with restricted fire, though teammates can switch ships by leaving in a seraph or longsword and let others in.
-This can also be done during combat though if a ship is left stranded and destroyed the team is a ship down.
-If a player is killed in the ship that means that player is defeated and the ship is destroyed.
-A cruiser, carrier or colony ship must not be fired at for 10 secs before a player can leave that ship.
-Boarding crafts can be deployed which you have an option to fly yourself or autopilot, when it board if your in it, several friendlies exit into the ship and can destroy it from the inside or kill the player controlling the ship.
-The last team standing wins the game.
Maps
Asteroid Belt - Theres no turning back the ring of asteroids around the flood infested planet has destroyed the fleet of each Navy, fight to escape.
Vastate - Fight in open space with nothing but you any the enemy.
Impact - It starts out in space then you all go crashing down to Reach because of some disturbance (or it could be like the covenant shoot down the UNSC team) and while you are falling, the ship is fine, the engines are just busted, so you have to fight off the covenant team until your engines get fixed.
Slipspace - Both teams race and fight to Reach.
Have any ideas for maps? Then just post and i may add to list.
Or anything else that needs changing?
