i love ign. I've been suggesting the "new toys" idea on this forum since "how to fix the br/ar" topics were spamming the forum

Really because nothing in that article was not something that people have asked for multiple times.

Better Partner A.I. is one silly, your a walking tank of a person and you need better marines around you. Outside of their driving the marines in Halo work about as well as they should. To prove this go back a play the game on normal and see how much work you have to actually do.

Bigger Battlefields, pretty much the whole idea of Bigger is Better sickens me and though if done right would be epic and could be done right by a few developers, the basic idea being stated annoys me.

New Toys - New games new weapons no news their, prototype ghost/warthogs/banshee don't make sense, they have been fitting for years at this point. Not to mention it happens days before Halo CE and months before Halo 3.

More Speed - did you know that as a spartan you are always running. Interesting isn't it.

No Flood- what can I say other then that the timeline doesn't allow, Oh and to refute the article I do like fitting the flood.

This article seems to be written by a fourteen year old forum goer who doesn't have any conception of the Halo universe. This article was poorly written and is one more reason why I don't like IGN.

Those were horrible. I hope Bungie doesn't listen. A thinner Warthog? Get out, heretic! Although I don't know how it would work, I would like to battle the Flood. Maybe in Firefight?

I wish in H:R will be more player on game on BTB( 10 vs 10 )and teams be elites vs spartans , always ,and you could customize your spartan and your elite ( and start with plasma riffle if you are an elite, and AR if you are spartan).

Thinner Warthog was the icing on the cake really, why would a military vehivle EVER have extremelly light plating?

IGN has gotten as bad as Gamespot. Fighting the flood in FireFight would be a welcome edition to me.

Bungie hopefully wont lets us down, we want all new weapons whole set of them, whole new vehicles also but also the classic iconic vehicles and weapons still remian. Hope this is the biggest Halo ever and the greatest ever. Hope it will blown everyones minds away!

Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.

And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

I agree with IGN on both of these and I think they go hand in hand. First, the Marines are absolutely retarded, if you don't think they are, then I have similar word for you too.

They go hand in hand because if the Marines actually acted like Marines you would be able to have bigger battles. The battle size is maxed out in Halo because you are a one man tank with absolutely ZERO help from AI. Spartans are supposed to be amazing, but not to the point that they are the only thing that can fight thousands of covenant.

Better human AI means bigger battles are possible.

UNSC is on multiple planets with probably thousands of facilities. It isn't a stretch to think that there would be different weapons in different areas or certain facilities that would be testing or using different equipment. It is time for a change.

More Speed - did you know that as a spartan you are always running. Interesting isn't it.

That is how fast a genetically enhanced super soldier runs?

Although it seems obvious that this writer has not read the books or even dove deeper in any way into the Haloverse than what he has seen in the games; his opinions are solely based on the gameplay values associated with Halo. He works for a gaming site afterall, that should be his main interest.

And personally, I agree with several of his points.

I agree with a number of their points. Better AI is a MUST. It's so stupid how Marines just run straight in to Plasma fire. Also the other day I gave Buck a Sniper Rifle in ODST, and he didn't do anything with it. Marines also need to be better drivers.

Bigger battlefields? Again. The scale of the game needs to be much larger. I never understood why the final battle against the Humans v Covenant in Halo 3 only contained a handful of people.

New weapons? Not that bothered to be honest, although new weapons are pretty much a given when it comes to new Halo games.

More speed? Again, not too fussed on that, but a Sprint function would be pretty cool.

~Do you really have fun as a walking tank? Honestly, I'm sick of being a walking tank, since halo 2. I hope that with the downgrade to mark V we with be much weaker.

The marine AI is trash. If you play ODST (the warthog level) I was playing on NORMAL and thought hey I wonder if the marines can drive. btw, they can't, they can drive for about one second and then they stop (in the middle of the battlefield so you get shot to hell) and no, they don't even bother to find you cover to heal.

~I'm sick of people whine about the AR and BR. the truth is if bungie is going to make a truely balanced game they are going to have to stop listening to us about have the br and ar in the game. they need to make balanced weapons first and if old weapons fit this bill, yay. but I will take balanced gameplay before I'll take a br that works the exact same as it does in halo 3 (and then all the other weapons change around it so they can call it "balanced")
More Speed - did you know that as a spartan you are always running. Interesting isn't it.
~Sorry the current "18 year olds" wanted a sprint feature in halo 2 back when we were 15. you can wait your turn little kiddies, just like we have.

BYAHH

I like some of them. Definitely no flood in the campaign but flood in firefight would be OK occasionally, they just can't take over like in every other halo campaign.

Also, I like the idea of bigger battles. I am a fan of big team and quite frankly think it sucks when there is only a 6 on 6 big team game. Matchmaking will be booming for at least the first few months so why not try out a really big team game? If it doesn't have a lot of people playing then kill it.

New toys is a no brainer. Reach is a military planet and it could have had a ton of prototype weapons that we would have no idea existed (even from knowledge from the novels).

But yeah its still a pretty well stated article.

BTW, a walking tank of a person obviously isn't overpowered on reach as just about no one made it off of it alive, so better marines would definitely be a plus.

Only thing I thought that I should make more clear, I said it that way because I figured it was evident that their were going to be new weapons, but the example he uses make no sense for the timeline is set up and that is what I was talking about not the idea of New toys His execution of that idea.

And the other examples where more of the same, it is how he choose to support his argument with poor reasoning that I disliked and caused me to think the article was poor. The ideas I really don't mind but his poor support for those ideas I do.

Hello.

The article had very few good points. Thinner warthog? Really??? WTF would that do. Grunts dialog getting old, you must b out ur damn mind to even speak those words. ODST still has me laughing from grunts continually saying hilarious things. That was def the dumbest thing I've heard all week and I work with some very stupid people. Prototype ghost, banshees not sure how a prototype would be ne different other than looks so there another stupid statemnt... Come to think of it I dont really know of ne good points that they said so never mind. It was a pretty useless article that I'm sure bungie will pay no attention to.
