I just thought of that since Halo Reach is before Halo: CE, the Flood has not been like massivly released kind of!

That will mean no Floods!!! only massive slaughter of worthy Elites! YES!

Halo: Reach will be even more kickass than any other halo game! ^^

But it will really piss me off if the Flood suddenly pops out of nowhere.... -.-

I wouldn't really mind killing some more Flood, honestly. They're like pimples, small and annoying, but easy to pop.

hum... old but good for you I guess.
however, there ARE chances you encounter floods. there WAS a forerunner facility on Reach... who knows what was hidden in there. maybe a squad of spartans went in by accident or something. but honestly I don't think it'll be the case.

I may be ignorant, but there were flood in Halo Wars.

  • 10.02.2009 9:52 AM PDT

I honestly hope they don't make an appearance, the Flood have really worn out their welcome in my opinion.

In CE, it was an unexpected and welcome transition from a normal shooter to somewhat of a horror game when they were introduced. In the latter games, it's just another enemy to fight, and aside from the fact that they can revive recently dead, they're not so much interesting as they are annoying to fight.

what he said there were flood in halo wars and that was before Halo CE.

I do not need a sig...you'll know it was me

The story in the Fall of Reach, might not be the whole story they use in the game. Mabye the flood will make a apperance. They could do anything they want realy.

BYAHH

I hope no flood. I hate them.

You fail. The Flood are a great enemy. Without a variety of enemies the game would get boring fast.

If you hate the Flood, Brutes or Drones go play something else. I want variety not repetitiveness.

Besides, multi-faction fights are the best part of Halo CE.

no you are right. there were flood on Halo wars and brutes. plus in ODST it takes place b4 the elite-human alliance... so why are we still fighting brutes???? huh maybe bungie just wants to make it easier for idiots to understand.

pay attention to the dead elites in odst the alliance just started obviousley

I actually really like fighting the flood.
But no no, unfortunately there was no flood attack on Reach. And the only reason that the halos had flood on them was because it was a fortress world (or so guilty spark says) and the forerunner were either researching alternate ways to destroy them or the flood were guarding the index to make sure that nobody activated the halo and guilty spark just locked them in. so that rules out the theory that there could be flood in the forerunner structure on reach. I haven't the foggiest idea why there were flood on harvest because I haven't played halo wars but I'm sure the gravemind of those flood had some (likely selfish) motive.

No if you remember when buck mentions something about it Veronica says that the information is classified which means that at that point only ONI knew about the sanghilli rebellion.

If the flood does appear in Reach I want them to do so only under one circumstance. I want them to feel scary. I want their to be a lot of atmosphere. I want moments that rival and surpass the horror of when you first release the flood on 343 Guilty Spark.

Their movesets also need tweaking. They should climb on walls and have more unpredictable and intimidating moves. I want them to more fluidly animate (honestly an amateur animator could come up with better stuff than how the flood moved in Halo 3) as well. It's all about making them feel like this world devouring parasite that's to be feared by everyone, which bungie has failed at horribly in the past few halo games.

I was worried they would do that with ODST. But they didn't, so im confident they cant keep the Flood out of this one too. I thought it was dumb how they seem to randomly show up in Halo Wars.

6. Forge can apparently kill Spartans if he took down the Arbiter (ODST did something a little like this, but at least it took the whole squad to bring down that Chieftain rather than HOOMANS ROOL).

A guy gets his ass kicked by an elite, elite gets overconfident and delays, guy shanks elite in the neck. Looks more like luck to me, not sure how you concluded a guy getting lucky = can kill a spartan. If the Arbiter had just cut Forge in half instead of doing a monologue, Forge would have died easily in that scene. Forge did absolutely nothing astounding or superhuman that any well fit human could have done.
