im fine with the way grunts, jackels, and drones act. i think bungie needs to emphasize that elites are a spartans equal in terms of size, combat, and smarts. i think when you fight elites it should feel more like an epic duel. as for brutes i think they should act formal. but when the battle rages on and gets more intense i think they should act more like the hulk. they kinda do that in halo 3. but i wanna see them throw and smash more stuff. hunters need to act less as easy to kill bullet sponges. they need to be more like a "OH -blam!-! THERES A HUNTER!" kind of enemy.

lol, sometimes fighting some one in a ghost with just an assault rifle feels like fighting a boss from zelda. think about it, circle strafe, shoot the weak spot, dodge the special attack, repeat.

Brutes won't be in Halo: Reach. Reach is a prequel to Halo: CE. They joined The Covenant in Halo 2.

Brutes were part of the Covenant weren't they? Just on one of the lowest Covenant social levels iirc.

kinda like halo ce but like i said. more emphasized. i would like it if there where like master chief is to elites as super man is to lex luthor. or cloud is to sephiroth. or luke skywalker is darth vader.

oh yes! the brutes joined the covenant the very day master chief arrived to cairo station. they joined the same day the factories started making battle rifles and smg's and sending them up to cairo station. when master chief arrives.

sarcasm

Eh didn't read the books, sorry...Either way,I really hope Brutes aren't included, only worthy Elites and hordes of Flood.

the book neither said there were ghosts as a vehicle used the covenant when attacking reach. but im sure no one would argue that ghosts wont be one of the covenants ground forces in the game

ROFL! you think elites are equal to spartan's?? your a funny funny man, they surpass them by a good amount. go read a book

  • 10.02.2009 12:38 PM PDT

the book only mentions. it doesnt mean there cant be certain covenant units deployed to reach.

  • 10.02.2009 12:38 PM PDT

i have the first book twice. im sure if they surpass spartans by a good amount then i wonder why one lone spartan can wipe out an entire group of elites.

The elites are almost equals to spartans. the elites only difference is that they were not introduced to tactics until they battled the humans. after all, in said book, lots of spartans died fighting 1 on 1 against an elite only because there were no large scale tactics involved in the particular situation.
