Well my idea of a health system for Reach is that in campagin its very similar to Halo 1's health system, you have shields, your first line of defense then you have health bars. However, in Reach the health system could work like this: Your health bars regenerate too, but at a rate of about 3 times slower than your normal shields recharge. There can still be some health packs in levels, but this way we don't need to rely on them.

For multiplayer the health system would be the same as Halo 3's, I mean it would be sorta ridiculous to have health packs on a multiplayer map don't you think? OR it could be the same health system that I am suggesting for campagin except your health bars regenerate only 2 times slower than shields.

What do you guys think?

I love Halo. I like its sequels.

Why would it be ridiculous to have health packs on a multiplayer map? Worked well in Halo 1.

Well, I don't know, it just seems a bit inconvenient, because you have to rely on the health packs and people would always be low on health in multilayer because someone would always hog the health packs.

I dunno, I guess the multiplayer can just use the idea I am suggesting except with only 2 times slower regeneration, that seems balanced for multiplaer. Also, it would encourage strategy and teamwork more because you can't just rush in if your healthbars are low.

cause forge was such a sucess i doubt they would put health pack in multi-player it just wouldn't work n multi-player maps forged it would just be to hard for normal forge players to balance the health packs in the game.

and halo 1 didn't have xbox live

so i would say no to health packs

I actually think that they should be Like CE's, since this will be the prequel to it. The thing I don't want happening is a Plasma bullet just tearing trough me, as vividly as they explain it in FoR.

personally i think it should work just like in ODST except your "stamina" will be your shield.

the recharging health is a good idea, but lets just leave it up to bungie.

Actally, the armor pre-CE actually had no sheilding, so they should have, like a medic in the game, like when playing Co-Op to heal, or help the Spartans get through the mission alive.

Halo 2 and 3 only had shields no "health".
I'm saying that healthbars should regenerate slowly, like an improved version on Halo 1 and ODST's health system.

Yes they did have health. how come you don't die immediately once your shields are down? simple, they're not the only thing protecting you.

In that case: the Rocker Launcher would be a necessity since people would be missing Rocket launchers all the time and having only a few on the map would mean that everyone would focus on fighting for those. Now, if they have enough for everyone then it would be pointless for the Rocket Launchers in the first place, it would just a another hassle to go and find Rocket Launchers.

We should all spawn with infinite ammo Rocket Launchers.
