We all know Halo 3 ODST, so I don't need to make two paragraphs about the game. In the following post, I'm not going to talk about story or cannon or whatever; what I'm focusing on is the gameplay elements.
In case you guys haven't noticed, the gameplay is very similar to Halo 1; no dual-wielding, fall damage, health that doesn't regenerate and can only be replenished by health packs, etc. Now, I don't about you guys, but I think this shows that Bungie is starting to dislike the idea of an all-powerful super soldier who is a badass that kills aleins and doesn't afraid of anything, and that can only be killed by a 50 kiloton nuclear bomb.
I think ODST, is not just some separate game, with no bearing on anything. I think ODST is a preview, gameplay wise, of Halo: Reach, albeit, a very small preview. I think gameplay will be like ODST, which in effect is like Halo 1. Halo: Reach = ODST, ODST sort of = Halo 1, so Halo: Reach sort of = Halo 1.
Now of course, will Halo: Reach be exactly like Halo 1? Of course not, although I'm very hopeful it will at least be very, very similar to it. And, I know I left a lot of details, but I don't really care.
