I wish I was still legendary.

Seeing as this image just got debunked (untextured the storm hallway), I'll feed you another from the same slideshow - two broken domes in a snowy environment. I'm personally leaning toward this one being a text environment though.

possible environment, take two

just food for thought. It is NOT leaked content since Bungie showed it publicly at a developer's conference.

I really hate to crush this, really I do, but I do believe that is a part of The Storm, one of the tunnels you go through where the Rocket Mongooses spawn, right before the fight with the Scarab? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, however.

EDIT: Found a decent pic of what I'm talking about Here.

I don't think those have giant fans on the roof. That said, I can't get my H3 disc to work so I can't check.

EDIT: yeah, it is. I just went and checked Halopedia. massive sad face.

Looks similar to some of the interiors in The Storm. Not sure if it's exactly the same, but it's close.

if you have any questions about halo i am one of the few people on this site who will gladly help you. Even though this account has been active for only a year, my past accounts go all the way back to 2002.

the images from siggraph were developed solely for the purpose of demoing various lighting techniques, the environments were selected to help display the strengths and weaknesses of each technique. some might be from reach, but i'm guessing they're not. bungie is way too careful about that stuff.

Bummer... I think I ended up crushing my own hopes and dreams on that one...

Ah, OK. I'm still wondering over the other image I haven't uploaded of a building that looks like it had a reasonable amount of effort put in, but this would explain it perfectly. use old environments to display new techniques.

that did look like it had some serious effort put into it. Also i think i should point out that EPIC GAMES showed Gears of War footage in their Unreal Engine 3 demo before they announced the game was even in development.

I still think bungie wouldnt show stuff from reach at this point, even in tech demos. that building was probably created with this presentation in mind.
