Play legendary religiously and play new people. Try to find someone who can slaughter you and take it as a learning experience. When you play superior people you get better or you get bored being slaughtered over and over again try to make it the the first of the two.

Melee....throw grenade...Melee. That'll do it...pretty useful sometimes...others it just ends up hurting you (i.e. your own grenade bouncing off enemy and blowing up in your face)

keep playing them. get better. learn. adapt. do you play with motion trackers? if so, then dump them. it makes it more realistic.

Disguise any grenades you throw by hitting B whilst pulling the Left Trigger. It makes it look like you're meleeing, but a grenade coems out of your chest. Its a lot better than having that arm make a huge arc to throw the grenade, a lot harder to see.

Um......tell us more about the tournament. Settings, levels, and stuff. Basically hog the powerups and rocket launcher. The winners of the tourney will. Make sure u know when they respawn. If watches are allowed then use one. I just went to my first tourney a little while ago. I didn't time.....but a lot of other people did. It helped them out a lot. Use grenades to help you get down certain objects.

Cool. Hope you have a blast.

Rat Race- Stay around the overshield. Most of the fighting will happen around here. Shoot down the overshield when available. Use black so that you can blend into the shadows well.

Damnation- You want to control the top. You can see almost every room from up there. Watch the green room and portal as those are the only ways that people can get to the top.
You really want the rocket launcher on this level. You can get the launcher by standing in the doorway and throwing a grenade so it lands just in back of the launcher. It will kick up right back to you so be prepared by holding x to swap for it. You can also get the invisibility from that spot with a well placed grenade. If you wish to get the overshield then jump over the barrier and land next to it, but not on it. throw a grenade, pick up the overshield, and jump right when the grenade exploids to prepel yourself over the ledge without taking any damage. Head through the teleporter, and your golden with rockets, invis, and the overshield.

Hang em high- You want to be ontop of blue base here as you have a good overview of the level up there. If you happen to spawn below, pick up the invis and jump ontop of the stones closest to the launcher by crouching at the top of your jump. jump diagonally to the left while holding x to obtain the launcher quickly.

BG- Sniper rifle.

Good luck and kick some butt!

Play everyone against you. You may not win but you'll definitely get better, plus it will help you with taking on multiple enemies at once. I got good playing 5 v 1 and at the beginning I never one but now I can hold my own and soon I'll win every time.

there's another way to double punch. get a pp and then charge it up and shooot a elite. (mostly for what it's for). then, right after you shoot melee then melee again. this is what i do when it is on legendary and there is a gold elite :)
