Fear the Jinx... for he has arrived
I have an idea for two covenant weapons in Halo Reach
Please give me feedback on these ideas and express your opinion if anything should be changed.
Weapon- Hunter assault beam
Class- heavy weapon
ammo- battery (overheats after continued shot for 5 seconds)
projectile- hunter cannon beam
description- This is the hunters assault beam from halo 2/3. It would act like a turret in that you rip it off of a dead hunter and use it with two hands like a turret. It would take about 1 second to charge the shot and then would fire out as very destructive beam which would kill a brute( if it was a consistant hit) in about 2 seconds. The weapon's main disadvantages would be that since its a heavy weapon like a turret it would slow you down considerably and it also would have quite bad recoil. This weapon could be found off of dead hunters by holding down the weapon pick up button where it would go into a small animation to show you ripping the hunter's arm off.
Weapon- Jackal personal defence gauntlet
class- defensive weapon/dual wieldable
ammo- battery(shots taken by the shield would drain the battery)
projectile- none
description- This is the shield that the jackals use in all of the halo games. It would be duel wieldable so that you could use another duel wieldable weapon with it such as a plasma pistol or SMG. You would use the shield by crouching which would put you in a defensive position and the shield would cover most of your body. The battery would drain when it was hit by shots and it when it runs out of battery the shield would deactivate and would have to be left to charge for about 30 seconds. The disadvantages with this weapon is that when you crouch to use it, it covers up quite alot of your HUD so it would be difficult to be accurate if you were using the shield. This weapon could be taken off of dead jackals by using the weapon pick up button where it would go into a small animation showing you take the gauntlet off the jackal's arm and using some kind of device to reactivate the shield again and then you would put it onto your arm.
