I mean come on guys we have trusted bungie with halo 1,2,and 3 and now halo odst. Yea, we should still voice our opinions but i think bungie really got this one in the bag, and hopefully its not the end of halo.

Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!

Yes, we are pushing bungie too hard, they make the freaking game, not you. If you don't like it, make one for yourself. Have fun getting past all the copyright laws....

Halo Reach will, without a doubt be an awesome game. I mainly just want to keep an open mind when I first play it so that I'm not disappointed because all of my wildest dreams and ideas weren't made a reality. I can't imagine how much pressure Bungie is under with all of their fans expecting so much from Reach.

I have yet to see any hard evidence of such abuse...and those making blatantly unreasonable requests are likely ignored anyway.
As for Halo ending...I'd say it's fine...It's had more than a good run and it's probably past time Bungie moved on to something new, or revisited something..forgotten.
True there are things that they haven't given us opportunity to play through first-hand, such as a Forerunner or dedicated Sangheili storyarch..But if that's the end, then that's that and it won't do anyone any good to complain. It would probably be unreasonable to expect them to cover -every- perspective in the Halo universe. Besides, I've had to accept that I'll in all likelyhood never see any further development of Marathon..all loose ends there are to remain untied...I guess I see no reason why Halo should be any different.

Dom ~ Thread Killer

I don't really understand what you mean "going a little hard on Bungie." These forums are for voicing our opinions and giving feedback (both positive and negative). If Bungie didn't want to hear negative feedback, then why do they have community forums on their website?

Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is a philosophical position that argues that existence is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.

Put simply in the words of Nietzsche as "the will to nothingness".

I guess they might get a laugh out of all these obscure ideas, basically alot of people might end up hyping themselves up for an Halo 2 style let down. Halo - Halo 2 is close to Halo 3 - Halo Reach with both being on the same console what more can you expect?

Apparently alot.

Great minds discuss ideas

Average minds discuss events

Small minds discuss people

Although some threads are good, most are just complaints without answers, theories, or just really obscene ideas that just don't make much sense. I trust that Bungie can find the little potential in here and make good of it

Well, I think the situation here is a bit different. We're not being hard on Bungie. I think we're just building our expectations too high. This puts Bungie in a weird spot because just like Halo 3, Reach is going to reach expectations that are impossible to reach.

haha pun.

Not really a fan of puns...but that aside, very well said. I find I'm inclined to agree with this generally.

Bungie is a big boy, he can take care of himself. Seriously though the community is made of -blam!-s, give Bungie a break, they've delivered 4 amazing, revolutionary games, calm the -blam!- down.

I don't think we are it is there last halo game for a while apparently and I think people just want it to be great but I think it's to late to add any of the big ideas I'm pretty sure they have been working on this game for a few years now

Yep. Right after Halo 3 ended.

And, well, apparently Microsoft's working on something big too. They had a job listing up for Multiplayer designer on a Halo game.

And anyway, its just that Bungie's games thus far have been remarkable. Exepectations that have been set, no matter how high, have been touched for the most part.

Halo 3 was the high point of the Halo series, no matter what anyone says. Sure, I prefered Halo 1's story and now ODST trumps it, but it was the point for a lot of people where Halo did everything right. Online integration, 4 player online co-op, Multiplayer with constant support, screenshots, THEATER, Forge. It did so many things right.

And of course, the obvious thing now is that everyone expects Bungie to exceed those standards with Halo: Reach.

Which is unfair because even if Reach is half the game Halo 3 was, it will still be a fantastic game. Not saying it will be, I'm just saying that Bungie is in a lose-lose situation here and at the end of the day, come Fall 2010, when Reach comes out and is amazing, someone here will be complaining. Not because the game was bad, because he made the game seem bad to him based on the expectations he set on it for himself.

This is also the reason why COD4 made somewhat of a huge splash in 2007, Bioshock as well. Halo 3 kinda stole the spotlight and that fact, coupled with the other fact that they were 2 very good games as well, propelled them upwards.
