The other day, I was reading "The Fall of Reach," amazed at the details describing Keyes' epic battles with the Covenant, and I wondered, could this be turned into a game? As opposed to science fiction like Star Wars, Halo space combat seems very probable, and gives a feel that you're not just turning a steering wheel and holding a trigger.
Although this is unlikely to happen in Reach, I can just imagine the power you could feel when ordering a trio of MAC gun rounds to be fired at the bridge of a Covenant cruiser. And yes, I do think that fps could be included, as it might be possible to board an enemy ship.
I have just been looking at other threads and I have to say that my idea differs from a halo rip-off of Battlefront 2, and that rather than just randomly flying around a ship and trying to blow up the bridge of the enemy flagship. No, this idea is bigger, and presents a strategic view of battles in space. Basically, you play as the commander of a ship, and use the outstanding voice recognition shown in Natal trailers to order your luitenants (can't spell) around.
