Subject: Should Bungie use Motion Capture?

Um... I like Halo? I don't really know what to say. I'm a student at the moment, I hope to become a criminal profiler, and I enjoy pretty much everything as long as it's good.

One of the big things that bugged me about ODST was the character animations. They seemed jerky, almost erratic. The reason behind this is that Bungie has been using traditional animation for all of their games. Seeing as how Reach might be Bungie's last Halo game, I want it to meet every expectation and then some. I want this to be considered a new milestone in video game design. One step towards this ambition is using mocap. Many people have said that the animations made by Bungie are something that makes Halo, Halo. I however believe this technology is outdated and should be replaced. What do you guys think?

I agree. Some of the animations in ODST were kind of over-the-top. It would be good to see this sorted for Reach.
