The Underground has fallen into a state of total chaos, with about a million 3-post-long off-topic-threads. I think the reason for this is too fold; one it's at the first choice (or... the top choice, maybe, if you're from South America) and two, the description on the Forum main page which reads "Discussions about anything and everything Bungie", which is more than a little misleading. Maybe we could change that description to be more clear?

Sorry if this has been suggested already, or if this is the wrong way to suggest this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that this was asked around two months ago as well.

The general consensus was that yes, it needed to be changed. Big surprise. However, here we are, two months later, and nothing has changed.

I usually never or even look at or go to the Underground Forum...

I'm telling you.... The forums are getting worse, well some of them.

I read there occasionally, but the misplaced posts don't exactly make me want to go there any more than that.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

The last time i visited The Underground about 97% of the front page was all Halo 3 threads.

And it's not just The Underground, the problem is everywhere. I personally don't think changing the description would help a great deal, but still should be impliamented all the same in an idiot hope of people paying more attention and understanding what the forums are for.

I remember a time when such things were sacred......wait, that was something else. Excellent idea, The main goal is to get people to understand the purpose of forums and to respect the rules and proper thread placement. We should call congress, nae, the president. We shall fight the War On Spamming

The Septagon forum is about the bungie community and it's website. It was most likely moved because it dealt with one of those two things.

Right, general could mean anything. Far too broad and open for misinterpretation.

I'm certifiable.

I've said that the descriptions should be rewritten to tighten up the definitions... also that the Underground link should be further down the list and that the Halo 2 forums should be further up. The natural percolation is start at the top and look for the first sorta-fit on the way down... and having anything with "General" in the description at the top is going to lead to a lot of instant clicking.

If anything, the primary change I'd like to see in the description of The Underground is the "...and Oldschool Games" part. Personally, not that I'm demanding this or anything, I'd like to see a forum dedicated specifically to Oldschool Bungie Games.

You know those Marathon threads that occasionaly pop-up in The Underground? They last about eight seconds before being devoured by "JOIN THE HALO MOVIE CULT!" or the "HALO 3 11111!!!!!oneoneone" threads.

I agree....just for the fact that there is a lot of garbage due to umm...lets say non-specific descrip's. I even sometimes catch myself posting in spam forums....
