Alright, so Halo 3: ODST came out. It came equipped with an amazing new game mode - Firefight.
I love Firefigt, but I was hoping for forging capabilities to come with it. Sadly, there was none.
Halo Reach still has a chance, though.
Here are some of my ideas.
Say you take a map like Foundry, except the two garage doors would be open, with shields over them. That's where the Covenant could spawn. In the default map, you would spawn in the hallway in the back, but of course, this could be changed in Forge.
Or, you could take a map like Sandbox. The Covenant could come in Phantoms around the perimeter of the map. This would give you the choice between an indoor forg-able Firefight map or an outdoor map.
Of course, the other Firefight maps would have minor forge-ability.
You could possibly even map different Firefight game-types. Here's what I think the menu could look like:
Spawn Time: [0-Never]
Enemies (You could choose which and how many enemies would come in each wave.)
Weapons (You could choose which weapons would go in the weapon spots.)
Vehicles (You could choose the vehicle settings, if there are any on the map.)
Skulls (You could choose which skulls would come on, and in what order.)
So, good idea, or no?
