Were it so easy.

Keep the equipment in, it adds more variety to the game and if its taken away then we will be left with no dual wielding, OR equipment, then it would be stripped down to nothing, over the years Bungie added ideas like equipment and dual wielding, so please don't take them away!

Any ideas for improvements?

I don't know, I'm on the fence about it. The only equipment I ever really use is the bubble shield and occasionally the power drainer, if they come up with some more useful ones then I say keep it in, otherwise they should find a cooler gameplay feature that utilizes the x button like the nightvision/color outline mode in ODST.

>Reduce the radius of effect of the regenerator because it is too easy to use to one's advantage as it is right now.
>Turn the flare into a smoke screen so it doesn't literally blind me and cripple anything I do when it is used. There are other ways of blocking sight for both sides using it afterall, and the addition of smoke could create cool visual effects for photo phanatics (Hah).
Beyond that, I can't think of much that plays true to the equipments theme of "Equal Local Result, Global Advantage depending on how it is used" theme.

To clarify, what this means is that if I throw down a bubble shield, I may have saved myself from attack, but I can't return fire and my mobillity is restricted, and you could possibly gain a better fighting position with the time I waste inside the shield. Looking through such a narrow lense is analyzing the situation locally. Globally though, I could drop the bubble shield to block fire down a corridor as I run back to my base with the flag, forcing defenders to take a different path if they want to angle their shots to hit me. Their repositioning costs time, and time is what I need to get to my base. Examining the game with large lenses like that is global analyzing.

Although you may have recon, you still "suck".

-make the trip mine a little "stealthier"
-decrease regenerator radius
-smoke screen flare

I will be there to answer your questions! No matter how obvious or stupid they may be, don't be afraid to ask. It'll pay off in the long haul.

I'd like to see the active cameo pick ip from campaign and the auto turret.

New ideas I dont know maybe something that makes you run faster for a few seconds?

Were it so easy.

Yeah, I like that one, something that makes you run faster for about 30 seconds would be nice, and maybe one that shoots very high and comes down in a small area of raining explosions (like that one weapon from gears of war 2).

Or why not one that allows you to see through walls for about 30 seconds or so.

Were it so easy.

Why would you need that when you have a radar, not to mention that would look very confusing, all you would see is people.

I'm xAssault12x, and I love the Halo Universe. Discussion please!

I have some cool equipment in my thread. I'm too lazy to type it all out. Here's the link.

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

power drain/regenerator should cancel out, you shold be able to hold equipment in the side/back of a wehicle, flare should be replaced with smoke-bang, (instead of flash-bang), trip-mine shouldnt be a glowing pizza.

ED1T:being able to throw equipment while holding ball, flag etc....
This. And you can throw equipment, at least with a flag.

1. Why? The regenerator is only advantageous for a sniper. If anything the big radius is what balances it out in close quarters combat. I guess I wouldn't mind if that means they'll tone down the power drainers radius which sometimes acts as a big fat red bar frag grenade.

2. They should remove the the red crosshair and name tag during the flare or smokescreen. I prefer the flare, because the smoke screen always ends up useless in most of the games I play. They shouldn't go through walls like the current flare sometimes does. Radar Jammer is useless. Might as well make it a secondary effect on the flare or smokescreen.

3. They need to fix the viewpoint perspective of going partway out of the bubble shield that makes it a snipers dream shield.

I think dual wielding should be kept in as much as I don't use and and dislike it, but I don't think equipment should be, and I would be happy if equipment were taken out all together.
