Elites should be the main enemies in Campaign. Some Brutes could be in there too but they should be pretty rare to encounter. FireFight should have every rank of every enemy, possibly including the Flood or Sentinels.

It's been THREE years without fighting the elites.
Sorta miss them.I wish they were put as the main enemy.

I remember playing Halo 2 Co-op with my friends trying to pass the missions on Legendary. Those Elites were smart:Hiding behind object so they can recover shield, charge when there about to die,use strategies, and not standing like a dumbass.
With Brutes not even challenge even on Legendary was easy.
Those Brutes:Didn't hide, rush, standing like a dumbass, they don't nothing when there stick they just scream, and they are hairy monkeys with no brains. Our monkeys are smarter then them.

But i will like fighting together in the final missions.

i think that brutes shouldnt even be in the game, and if they are they shouldnt have shields. the brutes wernt even in halo 1 and in halo 2 they didnt hav shields. i dont even know why the brutes were even in odst. so if there is to be brutes there should only be elite groups or squads of brutes.

Your friend is not a reliable source of information

People who think brutes are too easy are playing Halo 3 Campaign on a difficulty thats too easy for them. If legendary can't quench your thirst for a challenge, try turning on some skulls and playing solo.

That shouldn't be necessary, to make an enemy slightly challenging you should have to go past the max difficulty.

I make a legitimate thread on the most logical choice for the next Bond actor, and you take that away from me by creating a parody thread indirectly connecting my thread to yours.

I hope your kids have bad influences and develop bad personalities. I wish this with all my heart.

I actually kinda like brutes. You can permanently wound them, (knock their armor off) they have better weapons, and they actually coordinate their actions. Plus, chieftains are just badass.

What the blargh!?

consider reading the fall of reach, elites were the main threat mostly on the covenant, just be glad ripa wasnt on reach [ripa is the arbiter on halo wars]

Were it so easy.

Why are people posting in this, I already made a thread for this before this guy did.

What planet are you from? What game are you talking about? Brutes actually coordinating thier actions? Blasphamy, I say, Brutes have the same IQ as a stick, just sit there and do nothing. I really think you got them mistaken with grunts and jackles, otherwise you should not tread around these parts.

Not exactly true. On Halo 3 in crows nest when you have to save the marines. There is a hammer cheiftain surrounded by like ten brutes. They worked together pretty well on Legendary if one lost its shields and charged my normally i would be shot at by another brute while trying to get a headshot. But i see what you mean by them working independantly most of the time.

Actually that's one thing I didn't really like in Halo 3.

They kinda only seemed to be dangerous, when there was a giant crowd of brutes.

Plekpedia - The most epic site in the history of ever.

Both would be brilliant.

I liked the brutes form halo 2, with actual armour instead of energy shield and they could just soak up bullets and were actually tough

  • 10.08.2009 2:31 PM PDT

a new kind of enemy like a zombie or something

Too often, people post on forums and just regurgitate what they've seen already and don't really explain their own views. - achronos

well, to be canonical. Elites should be the main enemy because brute weren't even mentioned until after reach. they should be mentioned like though covenant chatter but, not through direct battle. unless like the Spartans get on a covenant ship and start fighting the inside the ship.
