I know Bungie might read these forums to bring in a few game content ideas, so here are mine:

1. If we have swords, please make them a little more like halo 2's swords. They were just really terrible in halo 3--too balanced out and they lost their edge. on another note, the dual wielding needlers is greatly missed

2. If you have a firefight mode, we'd love matchmaking support for it. It'd also be nice to forge the firefight levels, or do firefight on some of the multiplayer maps. Also, if you bring it in there, it would be nice to have a level where you do firefight in vehicles--your team is on some sort of vehicle and you have a driver and 3 shooters.


3. more personal armors, as well as the ability to play as brutes and marines in multiplayer. We could customize hair, armor patterns and designs, skin color, etc. And instead of having helmets, we could have parts that we put on

4. If there's a forge mode, i'd like it if the monitor isn't able to be damaged.

5. An area where we can listen to the game music, and watch the cutscenes would be very nice.

6. In the pause menu, i'd like to be able to adjust the levels up the music and sound effects--sometimes i just want to hear the music of the levels.

7. A character viewer would be nice, where we could rotate a character model around and read a bio on them.

8. LOTS of campaign levels. Halo 2 had alot of levels and it was really fun having all those levels to choose from. I want a campaign mode that keeps me hooked for more than 20 hours.

9. Matchmaking for online co-op, since some people don't have many friends who are online all the time to do the campaign.

10. Harder difficulties--maybe Mythic can finally be a difficulty in itself this time

11. Maybe a multiplayer map of a city, where you could go in all the buildings, and fight on the streets as well as the buildings.

12. A.I.s that can drive vehicles

13. Easier rewinding in films

14. More armor colors, and the ability to customize the torso, back, knees, boots, etc.

About 3/4 of the stuff there are things they shouldnt or don't need to put in the game.

A.I's that can drive veichiles sounds like a good idea.

Maybe they can learn how to turn a corner and not sit in one place for eternity will getting shot by a fuel rod cannon.

I wish I was still legendary.

1. Balanced is better for Halo.

2. You WANT to be quit out on every second game and get paired up with six-year olds?

3. Not necessary. And brutes are too bulky to be fair, whereas marines are too small.

4. You can already do this by going through the game settings, so why make it compulsory?

5. A cutscene theater would be good, yes. As for the soundtrack? Try buying the OST...

6. Agreed. There are points when I find the music too loud and others when it's too quiet, so it could be useful.

7. Not necessary but would be a nice touch. You can technically already do this in that the character selection screen has a biography, and the main appearance menu lets you zoom in, out and rotate.

8. Only if they're needed for the story. No pointless filler levels.

9. see #2. Lag, griefers - too much to go wrong.

10. yeah, maybe. I would like to see a 'canon' mode where everything was accurate to the books, just to see what it would be like.

11. Too expansive, unless we had a crapload of players in one match it wouldn't work.

12. They already can, but only if scripted. You're asking for dynamic radiant AI which is...difficult to implement.

13. This I would like. Not for campaign (reloading/unloading BSPs, resynchronising AI and dynamic objects), but MM? Yeah, sure. Why not?

14. See 3. It's not necessary, even in H3 we have something like 14 million different armour combinations. It'd result in a bit less space for other stuff.

my take.


1. the only thing i like about the new sword is the clashing, and the needlers shoot faster. I still miss the halo 2 version (but then some people will yell at me and say "play halo 2 then") whatever i guess

2. 6 year olds don't play this game--that in itself is disturbing. but seriously--if people were to quit out that's their problem. there are griefers everywhere--the fact that it's more devasting in one area makes no difference.

3. Of course they're too bulky and marines are too small, but it's a nice idea. this whole spartan-elite business is getting old. Bungie could make it work if they wanted to, and i'm pretty sure people would make brutes and marines.

4. The monitor can still get damaged by other players and guardians, even with all those settings on. It's difficult to make good maps when you die every 2 seconds from guardians--you can't even move the kill ball without being extra cautious

5. The cutscenes in halo wars and halo 3: odst were really nice, so as you said i'd like to view them off of the campaign. But i'm not going to spend more money, or search for the soundtrack online. I'd like to be able to listen to it in-game, just as they have for Super Smash Bros Brawl. I know they are different games, but SSBB has alot of good features that would benefit halo. Since bungie said Reach is their last game, they could have all of the Halo music in this 'music theather' selection

7. You're confusing it with the spartan-elite models. I'm talking about a bio of the master chief, cortana, sgt johnson, the arbiter, and all the other halo characters. We could read about them, play a few quotes, and spin their character models around--sort of like a hologram thing. But besides this, spinning the elite models around in the appearance part is really pesky because we can only see them from a far distance

8. I agree--i don't want a nasty filler level like that one from halo 2

9. i agree, but laggers and griefers are going to be everywhere. Plus, there could a system where if they do all these stuff, they'll get banned for a period of time. It's not fair that we can't enjoy firefight and co-op online without having bad people ruining it

10. canon mode sounds nice, but that would be odd to create since it'd be like 2 different storylines.

11. Not really expansive, i mean like that one level from ODST-- you could fight in the streets, on the roofs, inside buildings--but you could edit stuff too. I'd like to be able to place fire and broken glass in forge maps too

12. guess that means i'm driving then...cause they don't know that the fuel rod guys are not friendly

13. yea the film thing right now jumps back way to fast--maybe make the left trigger a rewinder, instead of a camera zoom

14. Yet, i still find people wearing the exact same armor as me--i just want to customize my guy more. Better elite heads is a must--why can't we have the arbiter's head? If bungie took the time, they could do better.

i just came up with these quick because i saw other idea posts in the forum and bungie might read these. Also, thanks for sharing about the scripting AI thing--i didn't know about that

i always thot it would be awsome if there was a forge campain or some sort of custom campane or even a total map creater
