You kidding they started when halo 3 released its finished by now if not another month of work and companies make fans wait all the time you know things get finished and they wait to ship for publicity they dont finish and say alright lets ship it.

They have said in one of the weekly updates that they had started to shift people from ODST over to Reach as ODST neared completion. You don't put your entire studio to work on a single game if it is only a month or two from completion. Also, why would Bungie waste a year that they could spend making Reach even better just waiting to release it?

Ok apparently you dont understand that theyve had a whole other team thats been working on the game and odst was finished a while ago like before the original teaser.

No, you are very silly and have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. At the time of the very first teaser, Halo 3: ODST was still very uncomplete. Sure, you could play the game from start to finish, but that meant by no means that the game was anywhere near done. Some weapons were still represented by grey boxes, and the AI weren't as good as they were in the final game. Trust me.

Um i do know what im talking about and plus your whole opinion about odst being made in the last year still supports what I said about reach so you say the whole team wasnt working on reach but reach was being made when halo 3 came out ok so dont you think that then the whole team was working on reach then half went to odst and came back so either way my or yours its supporting what im saying.

Please read this before you post again.

The entire programming process doesn't simply involve coding and testing and coding and testing, there is a huge preproduction period where a developer explores various technologies that could be implemented into the game (new physics engines and such) and decides on the major gameplay components. It doesn't take an entire gaming studio to do this step. When I said that Bungie has been working on Reach since Halo 3 came out, I was speaking of the post production part. Right now, they have moved on to the full production step of the game design process, to get the beta ready for early next year for people to play so they can gather data to see how their engine works and for various other features (saved films, for example).

They will keep working on Reach to make it bigger and better and fixing bugs and testing until the very last moment before it is released. You never finish a videogame and then not release it for no reason, that is called extremely poor planning.

Now now, Children. Play nice.

Anyway, like I said, I doubt that we'll see any information on Halo Reach this year. Most developers/publishers are actually starting to release their good games now, and Reach info would just get lost. Right now? People are more occupied with playing games than they are about reading them. This will be especially true as we get closer to Christmas.
