Subject: Adding soundtrack to Custom Games?

You will maybe think I'm a BK because of my horrible K/D. Well, I'm happy to tell ya that this isn't my REAL account. My real account is "Jenkiz". This account is only a "mess-around-in-Matchmaking" account. Deal with it, troll.

The Tru7h.

Bungie, I think you guys should add the ability to add a soundtrack in a custom game while editing it (it would be optional).

For example:

Main menu -> Custom Games -> X button (to edit the game mode) -> Soundtrack:
Available Soundtracks -> Halo Theme, ect.
Custom Soundtracks -> Custom Xbox 360 musics

But if that happens, I know some people would not the other's choice or just don't want to listen any music, so, for example:
At the Custom Games before beggining the game:

Author: Example
Song title: Example
Press X to veto the soundtrack, ? out of ?.

If enough people vetoed, there will be no soundtrack during the game.

Does that sound like a good idea? Do you have a suggestion? Please don't be shy if you have anything to say.

And then this gets into the nasty nasty bloodstained world of music copyright infringement. What if the beetles don't want their songs played on some user's very popular forge map that has been downloaded on to thousands of xboxes? What if they threaten to start a lawsuit?

Best just to stick with the way things are now.

OH MY JEEZUS NOTHING IS WRONG WITH COLONELS,ALL IT IS IS STEREOTYPICAL

While this sounds like a cool idea i agree with hylebos on the whole copyright thing

if you want music while you play a game just plug in your mp3 player and press that magical button on your controller then go to media and select the music. problem solved.

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

Only halo tracks, if any at all (as previously stated, copyright infringement and all that)

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME GROUP INVITATIONS

The Halo REACH Script (post thoughts in thread)

Writing Lead of Whisper Studios. Check out Heron!

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I think they should make it like Firefight, but with more triggers for changing audio. For example, the map may just have ambient sound... but if you get into a warthog heavy drums may start to play, or if an enemy picks up a power weapon a subtle rise in pitch will occur in the song, etc. to keep the games intense. Nothing overpowering, just stuff to pump you up (like the drums on the 5th wave in ODST's Firefight).

Coconuts1996 is my cousin.

i usually like the original soundtrack in the campaign where there is constant action and the music really takes you in. Not when someone is hiding behind a shield door for five minutes in duck hunt while everyone is screaming "GO ALREADY YOUR GOING TO DIE ANYWAY!!!!!1111122". I usually listen to my radio or tenacious d or anything that is burned on my xbox.

Somebody with extreme moral value is about to post and tell you how bad it is that you're going to miss one day of school. Just wait for it... wait for it...

Education is the most important thing in your life. Don't skip it for a video game.

Tada!

Somebody could just put in a soundtrack of infinite cussing and or heavy metal or white noise.

  • 10.06.2009 8:37 PM PDT

BOOM DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would play all my favorite metal songs on it.

heavy metal

nothing wrong with that, as long as they pick a good band.

Horrible idea because if you want to listen to music you can already do that, and people have horrible taste in music and I don't want to listen to emo or rap.

  • 10.06.2009 9:07 PM PDT

Stick with just Halo soundtracks and we should be fine.

If the enemy gets both the gauss hogs on standoff heavy a small violin plays a sad tune for you?
