The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

On page 242 ONI hypothesizes at least two additional castes. A warrior capable of commanding ground forces and possibly piloting their ships, and a leader ship caste.

Never noticed it before but this sentence tells us of the Brutes, Prophets and possibly more covenant.

Well if it is not the Brutes then it is a different Covenant to look forward to.

You can't be entirely sure on what they are talking about. Bungie, in addition to the Brutes, Prophets and Engineers, has hinted at more Covenant races to be included in Halo 2.

Once instance is of a beast, besides the Brute and Hunter, so huge and strong that it is capable of flipping a Warthog. Who knows what will be included in Halo 2 and perhaps following games and novels. We can only speculate and be amazed.

They were talking about Elites and Prophets since the Master Cheif didn't meat Elites until the Observation Station that Linda, James and himself had infiltrated. But nice eye none the less

While on the topic, why haven't we seen any engineers in gameplay? I think it's because they were an afterthought for the books, and that they have little continuity to the games. The engineers, i mean. Not the books. The books rule.

The Engineers were actually going to be included in the original Halo like the alien species that were indigenous to the ring, but they ultimately got cut before the game shipped. Bungie has hinted at them being included in Halo 2.

The reason they showed up in Fall of Reach is because it was written while the game was still in development.

I hope so, they could replace the health packs lying in obscure corners of a covie ship next to a mysterious dead marine.
