Subject: sniper scope

yes but you cant effectively fire back on the enemy. the problem the thing i hate. there will be a guy a good distance away from me chipping away at my shields and i cant even shoot back

Get under cover. Pop up somewhere else. Fire before he can knock you out of your scope. Or, get a team mate to kill him. Or, switch to a medium / close range weapon and wait for him to get to medium / close range and engage him there.

If you truely are fighting them at long range, they shouldn't be able to kill you with just BR shots alone, only one to two shots from each burst should hit you thanks to the spread that prevents the BR from overpowering the sniper at long range.

And moving around the map with the sniper is also a good idea, because then they will invest time into looking for you and you have a better chance at killing them before they can disrupt your attack.

i dont see how that would balance it out. it just means i cant use my weapon effectively because im being shot at every two seconds.

besides the game is alread balanced with snipers. it can take skill to get a head shot. if theres a pesky sniper then use a combination of stealth and team work to take out the sniper. also its balanced cause a warthog can just come along and screw up the sniper

I think you're missing the point. The point of the sniper is to be like a ninja and kill before you seen. Then move somewhere else and get a kill and move again. This makes you precise, deadly and vulnerable.

my idea of sniping is finding a nice perch that affords you a good view of the map and shooting anyone you see. i understand you can take cover or switch weapons. but i shouldnt have my scope go off everytime i get hit by a little bit of lead.
