Subject: Take more time to make Reach

The only reason that you're conscious right now is because I don't want to carry you

I am not an expert programmer, nor a real techy person, although I can make a VCR stop flashing 12:00,12:00, hook up speakers and stuff of the sort. My ideas may be impossible to do due to space on a disk.

I really think that Bungie (YOU) should take more time to make Halo : Reach. If bungie (you) really arent going to make another halo game, make it a real game breaker. I have watched your "All your history are belong to us" and really you have made lightning strike 3 times (4 assuming that ODST sells its quota), but as your last Halo game. Make it something that even in ten years, will still be new and will still be influencing game design.

Forge in halo 3 was probably the best advancement in video games since 3-D capability. But it can be majorly inproved. I will refer to the architect post for a major improvement that could be made.

An item snap should be also put in, end snap, 90 degree snap, snap to middle, etc.

Theatre: to come....

Gameplay: I really think that the campaign should be a 20 hour gameplay on normal. Make it re-playable(different ways of doing the same thing) like in ODST.

The open feeling of ODST is amazing, again another revolution in gaming. I think it rivals GTA in the feel. You actually get the feeling of fighting a mission when you run into a group of brutes with a couple grunts and a jackal sniper or two. But I think that it should be expanded, more enemies added, and more enemies spawning as you play. So you can go "kill them again".

All the different level types in ODST(and halo 3) was great also. There were definite "driving" levels, and definite close combat levels, and then sniping levels, etc. But with a bigger campaign, there could be more of the "specific" level types.

I also think of a "totally" open, maybe multiplayer only, map where you and your friend(s) have to split up to accomplish goals at different places. One of you has to kill a key target, the other has to blow up a generator.

MORE TO COME.....

It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.

Cheeto is the only one among you that doesn't suck.

Bungie has spent the last 3 years on Halo Reach, with only a small portion working on ODST.

No Group Invites.
Worst idea ever...http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8664824

They started working on it immediately after Halo 3's release. They have plenty of time.

I'm just a guy like you that plays halo.

How do you think the beta will be made? You don't think that they could make the beta for the game in about 5-6 months?

I don't want to be in your group quit spamming me

i definetly agree with the 20 hours part of your statement. an 8 hour campaign would be disapointing, especially with all the history behind reach.

It's not their decision whether they can spend more time on a game or not. I assure you if they could they would. Microsoft, as a publisher makes sure the game is out when they want it. I have a good feeling though that this game will be finely polished. Perhaps it will actually feel as good as Halo 1. :]

I don't see you doing anything to help our country.
Except sitting at home, naked, eating twinkies, rubbing your hands together going "Heh. Target Destroyed. Mission Accomplished." Oh wait. that's not helping.

My one and only argument is can you program forge to be better? If so go ahead, but it was a gaming revolution and you still want more.

It can't live up to halo:CE because no matter how good they make the game it will never match that first time you play CE and people will always say "it wasn't as good as halo:CE". having said that i would say 3 years is too fast. Halo3 felt rushed and it had 3 years Halo2 even felt a bit rushed... maybe a little too much online emphasis.
