Before you think "Wow just another person making a Halo: Reach wishlist...why doesn't he just reply to other threads?" hear me out.

I have a lot to say, and I feel that it is the most appropriate to start my own thread on this. Halo: Reach may be the most anticipated Halo game yet, and it could be a huge turning point for the franchise - whether it be for the better or the worse. I am going to dictate my ideas of a good Halo game. I will tell you almost everything I want to see in Reach. You are welcome to discuss, but please no random bashing. I respect the right to express your opinion, but constructive criticism is way better than just "Your ideas suck, noob."

First of all, I have nothing to say about the story line. Bungie does an awesome job at making good plots, so I have nothing to say about it.

For the campaign, I would like to see:

A Longer, More Action Packed Campaign
Halo 3 felt short for me. Seeing how it is the ending of the series, I felt a longer campaign would be appropriate. I also wasn't a fan of ending the game in a vehicle. It just didn't feel right for me. I would love to see more action in the campaign, I am not saying it isn't already action packed enough but it could be better. I love the suspenseful feel you get when you see tons of red dots on the motion tracker. Let's have more enemies in battle at once, and provide a bigger challenge for the player. This brings me to my next point...

Don't Half Ass The Difficulty Settings
I think Halo 2 had the most difficult Legendary game. But the easiest Easy and Normal games. Halo: Reach should make Legendary truly feel like a challenge. After beating Legendary on Reach, you should be sitting, open mouthed on your couch, gasping for air, hardly believing that you just beat the game. Even with four veteran players on your side for Xbox Live, Legendary should be very, VERY challenging.

Many people also believe there will be a new difficulty setting - Mythic. All I can say is, bad idea. Let's keep the original four, but redo them. Easy should be really easy but still require you to actually pay attention. Normal should be the standard for most average players. Heroic should be a challenge for veteran players, and Legendary should be almost a requirement to play with 3 others.

For The Love Of God, Please Have Elites As Enemies
I hate brutes. I feel strange killing them, they are just to weird. I think it's safe to say that most people would enjoy killing elites the most. They, by far are the most challenging, and funnest to kill standard covenant species. Enemy AI should be refined, and adding some new tricks to surprise Halo players. If brutes are to be enemies in Halo, then at least keep them in small numbers. Elites rule.

Matchmaking Vidmasters = Bad Idea
I would like to see a return of the Vidmaster challenges in Halo: Reach, this time unlocking an even sweeter reward. One thing though, Vidmaster Challenges should be on Campaign ONLY. Please don't have vidmaster challenges in matchmaking. Lightswitch and 7 on 7th are so easy to get, because they are in Matchmaking. Lets have 7 vidmaster challenges, all in campaign and on Halo: Reach. (I didn't like how you needed ODST to get all of them).

The obvious exception to this is the skulls. The skulls should still be a vidmaster challenge. Collect all (seven?) skulls to earn the achievement. And speaking of which, let's make the skulls very hard to find. The heretic skull was very disappointing. I found it within 25 seconds of searching. I think that players should try unique things to get the skulls. It was cool that to get the sandbox skull, you needed to make a forge map. I like that! Let's keep the original ideas flowing.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Now, let's discuss some multiplayer stuff.

This idea is by far the one I would like to see the most. I think nobody here will disagree.

More, and more maps
Halo: Reach should have at least 25 maps that come with the game. 20 of which should be new, and five of them which should be remade. I would like to see the five remakes of...

The Pit
Sanctuary
Last Resort
Guardian
Headlong

The 20 new maps should be a mixture of things. Some small maps, some large maps, some vehicle filled maps, some vehicle scarce maps. Some snowy maps, some sandy maps. There shouldn't be many maps that are similar with each other. For DLC, I would like to see some new Maps of course as well as maybe a large "Time Warp" Pack of 5 - 10 maps from the previous Halos ranging from 1400 - 2800 MS Points.

The Time Warp maps, in my mind, should be.

Blood Gulch
Death Island
Colossus
Uplift
High Ground
Narrows
Ice Fields
Avalanche
Waterworks
Foundation

New Armor
Let's keep all of the current armor, and add 3 or more new ones, including a new rare one like Recon. It would also be nice to see new customizable body regions. Like visors, legs and arms. Elites should also get a new slew of armor as well. More colors should be present too.

Balance Out The Weapons
The BR should be slightly weaker, so that it doesn't dominate the field. The shotgun I think would fare better if the rate of fire was decreased. The sword does pretty well right now as a power weapon but I think the lunge should be shorter and the perry system be more realistic. I also think the Spartan Laser should have fewer shots and take longer to charge.

Okay, I have been typing for a while, and I now have writer's block. If I have more ideas, I will add them.

"This is the prototype NOVA Bomb, nine fusion warheads encased in lithium triteride armor. When detonated, it compresses its fusionable material to neutron-star density, boosting the thermonuclear yield a hundredfold. I am Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb, temporarily in command of the UNSC military base Reach. To the Covenant uglies that might be listening, you have a few seconds to pray to your damned heathen gods. You all have a nice day in hell..."

the following quote HAS to be in the game...
