The Guardian was meant to be a huge Forerunner Sentinel, originally located on the Ark.

The Guardian Sentinel was originally meant to appear as a fighting enemy in a HALO 3 campaign level that later became a multiplayer level Guardian, but was removed, and was just featured in The Art of Halo 3 instead.

It was stated that the player would have been able to rip out the Guardian's eye beam and use it as a weapon in the campaign level!!!!

Why was this not in the final cut????!!!!

I would love to see it in HALO:Reach

As far as we know, Sentinels were not present at Reach.

Perception is everything.

Microsoft cut them short on time. This was supposed to be a complete campaign mission, and Tsavo Highway was supposed to be much longer, and I believe Cortana was supposed to be cut into two smaller campaign missions.

Instead, they take ideas they thought were cool, and work them into existing levels or cutscenes.

If you want the mother of all rushed games, go play Halo 2.

That game is amazing, but think what it could have been with an extra year...
