Do you think Reach should be directly based off the events of the book, or should it follow a completely separate story line?

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

It WILL be a seperate storyline. What, you thought that they just put N1, S320, S259 in the trailer for kicks?

Reach should totally have a new story line so that the people how read Fall of Reach and the other novels don't all ready know the ending!!!

Look, as long as I can play as Linda, I dont care if it follows the book or not. Though I would like to see certain events like Sams death, the training, and Sigma Octanus.

The Halo REACH Script (post thoughts in thread)

Writing Lead of Whisper Studios. Check out Heron!

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I would like to see a few things from the books (debriefing on the PoA, splitting of Red and Blue teams, Blue team's drop to the surface, move to the generators, and split into splinter teams Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta), but then the rest should be a new point of view.

Through the eyes of Splinter Team Beta would be most likely as they are not at all described in the novels, so this would be a clean slate. Maybe we will play as the 5 Spartans (check the banner) which appeared on Red Team between the end of The Fall of Reach (invasion) and the beginning of First Strike (the drop).

In the end of TFoR, John noted all 25 surviving and active Spartans, aside from Grey Team, having been present. In the beginning of FS, Fred notes 26 other Spartans on his motion tracker; Red Team. That makes a total of 30 Spartans at Reach (counting Blue in space)... maybe the 5 new ones are Class IIs, or some of Class I which supposedly "died" but were just secretly re-purposed for black ops missions.

Maybe since there was only 7 years between the graduation of John's Spartans and the beginning of the SPARTAN-III program, a Class II of Spartans entered training, but were abandoned. They could have still been stationed to guard Reach, though.

They also said stuff from the book in the trailer, so who knows.
