Weapons that don't need to be changed?
The Rocket Launcher - Fine imo. Rockets travel at an acceptable speed and am thankful that the homing ability was removed in Halo 3. Don't have a problem with this gun.
Missile Pod - Again, fine imo. Missiles track but aren't impossible to avoid, the beeping noise that you hear when you've been locked-on to is a big help too.
Plasma Pistol - Leaps and bounds better than its Halo 2 counterpart. A niche weapon, but useful when used properly.
Needler - This might come as a surprise, but I actually think that the Needler is pretty balanced. It's a powerful weapon, yes, but only when used properly. It's nearly useless if your target is moving from side to side.
Brute Shot - Again, don't have a problem with this weapon. Useful for both anti-infantry and anti-vehicle roles, but doesn't excel at them.
Flag/Bomb/Ball - Making your attacks a one-hit-kill seems like a fair tradeoff to not being able to fire your gun, imo. Though of course, this is something that you can enable/disable.
Sniper Rifle - Functions nearly perfectly. Four rounds in a clip, you get scoped out when shot at. Seems like a fair weapon to me.
Plasma/Frag Grenades - Fine as far as i'm concerned. I'd like the Spike Grenade to have a larger blast radius though, and i'd like to see the Firebombs actually put in to Matchmaking.
I also agree that the Laser needs to be nerfed and that dual wielding needs to be scrapped.
