Subject: The Halo Reach leaked screenshot

bungie has proven that a bunch of monkeys sitting in front of keyboards can randomly type out a masterpiece. the thing is, when you go to play the masterpiece, you cant help but notice all the monkey s**t smeared all over it.

it gets real old having to wait months for someone like mlg to clean off all the monkey poo.

Ok guys, for 1. The pic of Mc looking at the gravemind cannot be a leaked screenshot, wanna know why?
Because Halo Reach is based on the book , Halo: Fall of Reach,
And Mc in the screenshot has Mark 6 armor, which he didn't have untill halo 2.
Now think about this closely guys.
In halo reach, master chief had the halo 1 armor and there were more than 1 spartan.
Now could it be possible that Mc could have gotten a hold of mark 6 armor in Halo: Fall of Reach?
I think not.
So everyone who uses that stupid pic showing Mc in his
( MARK 6 ) armor which he didn't have untill halo 2, stop!
It is not and cannot be leaked footage from Halo Reach.

ponitless thread... everyone knows this.

not really. bungie didnt know that there were no brutes in new mombasa during the time frame odst takes place, and its their storyline.

putting chief in mark 10 armor armed with dual wieldable lasers in reach would be a smaller breach of the timeline then what they have already done.

"the joke is in your hand"

pretty sure there was mark 6 armor in its earlier stages on reach... might not have been the chief

thats fan art that looks like it could be a still from a CGI vid. looks good though. and also master chief isnt the main character watch the trailer. the spartan has a different call sign.

"The strength of the pack is the wolf, the strength of the wolf is the pack."

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me..."

ODST for life

I highly doubt this would be for Reach but its possible that it could be an early build for the next MC game. More than likely it is probably just some fan created stuff like it usually is, nothing to get too excited about. Cool pic none the less

maybe the book is based off the game not the other way around they havnt said that its based off the book flat out... all we know are the names are the same. and he could be testing the armor or it is a variant we know nothing about bungie is good for that....

Looks like a piece of fan-art. Not bad either.

That was my original thought as well.

I take it i've missed something then?

Not especially. After Halo 2, a fan (Major.Dump) made a bunch of fan art using assets he harvested from the game. Someone was confused, or someone was feeling mischievous, and started sending the Gravemind fanart out as "Leaked Halo 3 art." Now it's being called "Leaked Reach art."

This isn't the first time this has happened. Roger Wilco's fan render concept for a potential Motorcycle in the Halo universe has been accidentally mistaken by fans and gaming blogs as "leaked art" for Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Putting this to bed, now. In the future, please remember that users get banned from the forums for linking to content they believe to be leaked. The moderators have been taught to ban anyone for any post claiming to have leaked content without clicking the link so they don't have to risk spoiling something for themselves.
