I am the leader of the resistors.............I shall accept anyone who wants to be a part of the rebellion............So join know!!!!!!!!!

What would you think about a game type where u could fly pelicans and phantoms. would u think it would be cool if there was a huge map where u could play differnt games types like ctf or assault and be able to use pelicans and phantoms to fly in them or ride in them for the xbox 360?

Whenever I'm bored, I like to think about people with their hands in their pockets falling over.

It would probably be very boring for the pilot, but it might be interesting!

Big Team Battle Multiflag/Slayer on Standoff/Valhalla/Sandtrap/Avalanche = Win

Its annoying enough when people try and make you go in their warthog.

Campaign? Sure.

Multiplayer? Hell no! A pelican / phantom would not be balanced at all in the slightest definition of the word!

Where should I start?

Can you believe it?

Yes, they would be perfect if they made some kind of gametype where you have to invade the other team's base.

think it could work if done correctly don't kno if other ppl would like it?

Personally, I think an actual "skilled" person in Halo 3 is someone who knows how to win with every weapon and combo in the game, not just a single weapon like the BR, Sniper, or even the AR. Of course, that excludes me, as I have yet to get a kill with dual plasma pistols. :D

Wait, this is before CE. Wouldn't we be driving Spirits instead of Phantoms?

Anyway, yes. I don't see them being too overpowered. They'd probably end up being the air equivalent of Scorpions and Wraiths, gameplay-wise, except their weapons are less powerful and they can carry more teammates with them. Any official map big enough to have dropships would certainly have enough weapons or vehicles to counter them.

I like Halo, It kills all sentinel life with sufficient bio-mass... and doesn't afraid of anything.

WOW, I forgot all about spirits. I hope they make a come-back. Although a phantom every now and then would be fine to maybe explain the switch in dropships.

As for flying either type of drop-ship, seems senseless and not too fun to me. They're mainly for troop transport and whatnot, so what is the fun in flying one around?

I'd rather have Spirits than Phantoms.

Because its easier to surround and splatter people when your ship is U-shaped?

Think how hard it is to dodge a banshee. Then imagine how hard it will be to dodge something twice that size. Nobody is going to use the pelican for transport. They are just going to go around splattering people.

Why would you like something like that in default multiplayer?

The multi-splatter/extermination is worth the 10 second suicide count.

We could also just make a map where everyone spawns in one spot and put a gauss hog in the center with a clear shot of the spawn area.

Yes, but only in campaign. If it was put into matchmaking, it wouldn't be fair. However, if they make some sort of matchmaking game where you fight others in Pelicans and Spirits, then I'm all for that.

The dropships wouldn't be overpowered or useless. Look at it this way:

Pelicans would play like Hornets, only they're slower, stronger, larger, and can hold more people.

Spirits/Phantoms would basically be slow-moving, flying Shades, only they have passenger seats and are larger targets.

I'm sure there is a way to integrate both the Pelican and Phantom into Reach's multiplayer. Its been a lot of fans dreams to be able to use them for transporting their battle buddies in multiplayer and I being one of them. :). I'd hope to see at the least a vehicle expansion in Halo: Reach, weather they are full meant for transport, to protect or to attack.

And before anyone says vehicles suck in Halo 3, that is why most Halo 3 maps don't contain any, these being the small to medium ones, but the big ones, you kind need some wheels or some sort of gravitational propelling system.

Hey guys get in my pelican!
*loads up pelican with 10 people*
*deliberately flys to maximum altitude*
*jumps out, sending pelican plummeting to the ground with all teammates on board*
