I'd like to say something about this article of the thread:
S.5 An ODST Stonehenge
I think the 'QTA XII / VI' puzzle has something to do with this.
Reason:
As you can see this controller holds some hints/secrets about ODST:
http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/02/halo-3-odst-controller-pics -hold-clues-into-new-mombasa-mysteri/2
More importantly, one of the comments.
A guy called "disastor" commented:
"looking in the QTA 2 thing myself. looks like (as you said) QTA is an abbreviation for Quetta, Pakistan. However the meaning of the word Quetta is translated to "fort" in english. According to wiki, "The city is a natural fort, surrounded by imposing hills on all sides." This may make sense because right next to the QTA 2 words are the little mountain graphics.
(...)"
I know some of those facts already might be known on the internet. But if QTA actually means fort. This might be the clue to the "Stonehenge". So i've read small parts of the so called 'Glyphs'. I think the 'QTA XII / VI' could mean an order in which you will have to 'activate' the glyphs.
This is just some speculating, since I just stepped into these ODST mysteries i'm not familiar with all kinds of things. So i'm going to play ODST this weekend with my brother to see things myself.
I've also scribbled and done a little math on the QTA things at school. Oh and, my knowledge of roman nummerals isn't that good...
My scribblings:
Q = 17(th letter of the alphabet) = XVII
T = 20 = XX
A = 1 = I
A -> Q = 117 = Spartan (MC)
This is known already. And here's something that might be a little farfetched, tbh. But I still want to share my thoughts about it. Maybe it's useful in some way.
117 can be divided as following -> 11 // 7
Taking 1+1 together = 2 = II
Making 7 into roman nummerals = VII
Together: IIVII = "2v2" or "M"
You might wanna stop reading from here. Rest isn't really shocking. skimming it would be nice though.
Again, my knowledge of the mysteries isn't really that much yet, so yeah, this may sound idiotic, stupid, etc... But i'm just hoping someone looks at my scribblings and thinks like: "HEY! I've seen that before!"
Rest of the things put together, so don't have to do the math(rest of scribbling):
Q -> A = 171 = ...
T -> Q = 2017 = ...
Q -> T = 1720 = ...
T -> A = 201 = ...
A -> T = 120 = ...
XII -> VI = 126 = ...
VI -> XII = 612 = ...
Q+T+A = 56 + 89 = 145 = ...

Since Bungie also showed a picture somewhere (I think it was Bungie PAX 2009 part 5 on youtube).
The picture said/showed:
Left side of winking superintendent face: "QTA"
Right side of winking superintendent face: "XII / VI"
Below of winking superintendent face: "Keep it clean"
I tried breaking 'Keep it clean' into pieces as following:
I counted the cliché, Xth number of the alphabet for each letter. I just put the roman numerals here 'in case'.
k = 11 = XI
e = 5 (3x) = V
p = 16 = XVI
i = 9 = VIIII (lol)
t = 20 = XX
c = 3 = III
l = 12 = XII
a = 1 = I
n = 14 = XIV
The sum of these = 79
Plus the other 2 'e'-s = 79+10 = 89
Again, no results (in my viewpoint).
BUT:
Put this in order would give the following:
115 . 169 . 203 . 114
As you may have noticed, I made a code out of this just like with the 'Halo 3 Comic'.
But AFAIK IP's only exist from these orders xxx.xxx.xx.xx or xx.xx.xx.xx etc...
This code is leading to nothing.
That's all folks. Concluding: maths with the 'QTA XII / VI' probably leads to nothing. But it still might have to do something with the 'Stonehenge'.
Thanks for reading,
Shinta
