Add this if you're happy that Team Snipers is back and would like it to stay.

Sorry for the long post, I swear it just looks long.
Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on. What with the Thanksgiving weekend you see a lot of people you haven't seen and it can take up time... Anyway on to the nitty gritty!

Anyway, when I was looking around one of the "stonehenge" courtyard areas, I stood in the middle of the stonehenge and some mysterious drumming music began playing.
Not the city at night music, or the intense Chieftain drumming, just a lower tone of it.
There were also two Engineers that I had previously ignored, now circling me while I'm standing in the middle.
I'll let you know if I find out anything else.
=]
Interesting, this definitely raises some more interest in these areas. Perhaps if more people could confirm this happening it could become some solid evidence to put in the Stonehenge section that irregular things occur. Good job!

Same, Also When I was there It appeared that the engineers can Identify weapons, I find that weird, as they don't see combat often. For example, I pointed my pistol at them, nothing happened, Sniper, they started to run away.
This is also interesting and points in the direction of snipers having some sort of significance. It has also been noted that full beam rifles have been found around these "dig site lamps" indicating that maybe Engineers+Lamps+Snipers=Something to be found, what it is, that will take a bit more time to find out...

This thread should have a link to videos with guides to help explain how to get out of regular city areas To help explore(as not every area can be bumped and I don't completely understand what causes it and how to do it)
Good idea, I'll work on that and a few other updates ASAP... Watch the Resources section for tutorial videos!

I was exploring the city the other day and noticed something that might be of interest.
Remember that section with the glyphs and dead elites and "Believe" written on the wall? Well, in sector 3 (i think im not to sure) i found a door which has "believe" written on it as well. I just thought that maybe they correlate somehow.
Definitely of interest, if someone can confirm the existance or you yourself can get some pictures of the door that would be great! It would help people to find any correlations and it will add to the points of interest map.

Also so I have a little theory here.
OK so people have been saying that theyve stood in the middle of the stonehenges and music goes and the engineers circle around you. Well if that is true then read on.
I think that if you visit these places in a certain order thats why it happens, and if visited in the right order you can get to the Sector 2 place or something else
Ideas. . .?
It's definitely possible that there has to be some sort of order when visiting these. Maybe they each play a passage in a song and you have to properly link them together. If anyone can get a recording or clip of this song it would help the more musical people to maybe find an answer to what is being played.

on a somewhat acedemic note, ive noticed that the glyphs do not entirely disappear when visr is turned off, but are luminous when activated. this means that while they are 'real' glyphs (i.e. if they were totally nonpresent when visr was turned off, one could argue that they are not really there, but being projected into your software by superindendent or engineers or something) they have some interactive component. since ODST visrs bring them out, they were meant for YOU to find. they are a message to YOU specifically as opposed to something you find that is meant for someone else
i may be totally wrong here though. maybe SI or engineers are accenting them even though they werent originally meant for you
or maybe some property of the material they were drawn with makes them luminous in visr. idk.
That is a different thought. Bungie has stated that they are made by the Engineers to depict stories... If that is true, and we follow this theory as true, then why would the Engineers want to tell us of such a story? As more and more ideas come out it seems that more and more is hidden then appears. Nice idea!

Seriously guys, listen to me. Someone go out and find the Siege of Madrigal!!! Marty said it's in ODST somewhere and nobody has found it yet. AND I WANNA HEAR IT NAO!!!
kthxbai?
Get searching.
:)
Valid point that brings food for thought!

I just went to the secret area in District 8, and noticed a few weird things. I was just looking at the trash to see if there were any easter eggs exclusive to that area. There weren't any eggs, but I did get ambushed by a squad of brutes. I thought that was kind of weird because I didn't do anything to draw their attention.
Since the brutes caught me off guard I had no health, so I left the area to find some. When I found where one of the medical kiosks should be it wasn't there. The only thing that remained was the screen that had the Optican name and logo.
My conclusion is that going back to the BELIEVE mark on the wall right above the elites messes up the whole map. There may be more secrets/glitches that are caused by this
Also, instead of calling it "the secret area in sector 8" we should call it "Sinoviet courtyard" scince its directly under a building labled Sinoviet.
Interesting, you may have stumbled on to something here. Did you try watching the video to try and see where the Brutes came from? Would the health packs also normally have been there? If so you could try watching the video to see when it disappeared to try and rule out what did and didn't cause it.
I vote yes to renaming it to Sinoviet Courtyard as well.

ok i'm just throwing out wild ideas now:
What if... the Three stonehengerooms are formed like a "Y", with to room on top, and one at the bottom, just like a "Y", and we mark this on a map...
Then, as a "Y" has a middle spot, where the three lines meets, THERE'S THE TREASURE?
If anybody understands what i am trying to say.. if not, i'll try my best to explain better.
But hey.. its a theory
Potentially this is possible, but of the three Stonehege rooms it forms more of a lower case "Y" with the line between two being intersected by a line from the third sort of like this: "\|"
It could also make a simple "L"... One thing I thought that was interesting is that when alinging all the Stonehenge rooms, including the supposed to be existing fourth, they create an X that intersects on the only X on the map. Which is the dead center. Whether it has any point I don't know, I also haven't yet looked at whether these stonehenge rooms align anything else up. Just thinking publicly now...
