Subject: will reach be worth the wait and money

after getting hyped up for odst and being extremely let down by the lack of replayability apart from firefight which is alright. im wondering will reach be a long campaign that is hopefully nowhere near as cheesy and shallow as odst because i felt i was ripped of out of my money for that game. im hoping reach will be as new and epic as the main 3 games and not lacking in gameplay like the side games halo wars and odst.

ODST wasn't so much a let down, but more a game of "Quality over Quantity.".
Hopefully, Reach will provide both.
I'm not expecting that it will, but I certainly do hope it does.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Considering that Reach is a full game, being built from the ground up, I would expect it to be "more" than ODST. Whether or not that means better, is entirely up to the player.

Bungie All Star Contest Winner Weeks 6,8 and 12

I guess its your opinion of it.

I'm a metal fan and a Jack Black fan. No matter what, Brutal Legend will be worth it for me.

I hope you use that same flawed logic with Halo. =P

Reach MMO. Here's to hoping.

And the people that believe "the hardcore playlists would be more popular if the rules were strictly MLG" can come off it, now. If you're not willing to support something close to your own setup, there's no reason for us to believe that cloning our own lists and stripping the variety down will attract more people. -- Shishka, Bungie.net

I am still enjoying Halo Wars. I just brought myself the other night to finish ODST, not that fun really. Firefight will get 10-12 more hours out of me.

If they don't do something radically different with Reach I am really going to be let down. Oh, I'll still buy the game, but the old Halo equation just isn't working for me anymore.

Please let Borderlands release me from the same old FPS drudgery.

....

Yup its their next main project, Halo:ODST was a side project for them. Halo:Reach will blow us away. Bungie only did the first 3 Halo games the way they did because of the story arch.
Reach however is a different story arch, even though its a FPS I know it will be different this is Bungie's first game in a long time thats breaking away from the Halo rings story arch.
This is their first chance in a long time to break the mold not because they couldnt before but because the story and the cannon they were in didnt allow them to, NOW....its a different ball game, you need proof? they're doing a BETA on the multiplayer, which means whole new balance, weapons alterations, they wouldnt beta something if it where the same as Halo 3, they did a beta for H3 because its completely different than Halo 2.
