At Amazon and Gamestop(I haven't checked EB Games or anything else) you can already Pre-Order Reach. Isn't it a bit early when you don't know anything about it?

You could pre-order Battlefield: Bad Company 2 before EA announced it.

Yeah, like what is the point of putting it on Pre-Order then. No one in their right mind would pre-order a game that they know nothing about.

Well, it's going to be a popular game in the future so just proclaim it now! That would be my reason.

Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Nothing new here, some websites do this all the time. I wouldn't give them squat until details have been confirmed by either Bungie or MS.

Exactly. Another thing to check is that if you are buying from Amazon, or any other site for that matter, that you know who the actual seller is. If it's the site company, all is well. However, I have seen cases of people buying things from Amazon that were sold by sources, not the stores. These sources, as you can imagine, ended up being fake copies.

Yeah, it isn't worth being scammed to pre-order before anything has even been announced. But what is the benefit of early pre-order? You don't get the game any sooner then normal pre-order and you may not end up liking the game.

I got scammed through something similar on ebay for a paintball marker. Have not used it since.
