I liked the graphic engine in Halo 3 and ODST, but the knowledge of an entirely new game engine for Reach makes me wonder what it will actually look like. Any ideas?

i don't think it should look prettier, i think the environment should be semi destructible, bullets should penetrate weak materials. or be like halo CE where every thing was either ground, canyon, or 4 foot thick space metal

what i really would like to see is real time damage on enemies like bullet holes, severed limbs, or armor damage

Saying quote failed is just a useless waste of space but on a side note yes halo 3: odst has great graphics as is so I don't think they need to look "prettier" cinematics could use a little work... would be nice if they looked a bit more like halo wars cinematics those were beautiful but ya I would like to see some more realistic physics in the graphics... so if you get shot in the shoulder maybe like have a dent in the armor or if u shoot a glass window the glass actually breaks some destructible environments couldnt hurt either, I could imagine sword destruction with natal but for all you anti natal people I was thinking that what if while u hold down trigger right thumbstick takes control of sword to act like an extension of your hand and able to swing the sword the way you want it. And to make up for loss of targeting make it so while you are in "sword mode" it auto targets enemies then you could do something like swing the sword under the feat to knock em down then do some sort of finish like after there knocked down stab em.... or make it so if u go for the arm they drop weapon but if u go for chest its instant kill if it hits but players can block it and knock it away
