Subject: Flood/Zombie Armor perm

To add to the current list of armor permutations, I suggest that if you unlock an achievment based on the infection gametype you should be rewarded with the zombie armor permutation. Which can be used for any gametype.

[!] This is for multiplayer only. The flood were not on reach but that won't apply to MP.

Here is a picture of an Elite flood form:
http://fc07.deviantart.com/fs22/f/2007/326/f/6/ELITE_COMBAT_F ORM_IN_HALO_3_by_victortky.jpg

This shows what some of the main features of the zombie perm should be like.

[!]Do not misunderstand, the picture is not the concept for it.

Here is a brief description of what each version of the armor perm will be like:

Spartan:
:Cracked visor with smaller versions of the strands(see image) poking out any gaps in the visor.
:Flood spores (like the ones on Isolation) count as shoulder pads.
:The body should have massive cracks in it.

Elite:
:The strands come out of where the mouth is (on the combat helmet).
:Shoulders are the same as above.
:Body is the same as above.

Brute:
:No helmet just a lump with strands coming out of it (see picture)
:Same as above
:Same as above

Color: There should be a new color/effect which puts small green patches on the armor (basically making it look dirtier).

[!] The armor will be made so that it does not have any features such as giant arms and massive humps that affect gameplay.

I know this idea is a small change but I think it would be a good one.

I know but this is multiplayer so story shouldn't count.
I'll add that in now.

So? Why can't we have the infected forms of the playable character in Multiplayer for Zombie game type? Johnson was in Fire fight, yet how could he be, when he was off fighting with Master Chief? Its a game, that is why. I don't expect the flood to be in the game, but for the game type Infection, this would be a killer idea and wanted since Halo 3.

That gives me an idea... firefight but like Halo zombie mode with flood as the enemies? and also make flood skin the norm skin for infection and when flood kills you then you become flood. makes sense to me

I was thinking it should be an armor variant so that you can be a zombie in any gametype.
But that idea is cool as well.

The idea that infected people become Flood Combat Forms when killed in the Halo 3 gametype Infection was rejected by Bungie, because it would make the Zombies "Less Creepy".

How so? Especially if you added the Filters to give the map a darker and creepy effect and to see something as ugly and fearsome as a flood combat form coming at you with a bright glowing sword would be intense. It had to be more than just that, probably a issue with forcing armor perm to change or something. I mean, they have force color, but armor perm change would probably result in glitches(that with time, could be fixed)

Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is a philosophical position that argues that existence is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value.

Put simply in the words of Nietzsche as "the will to nothingness".

How about this only applies in infection games with all armor varients having a flood or "infected" version of it, so that when you are playing as the infected you actually look infected.

That's basically what most if not, all of us are talking about, heh.

Campaign&story yes, but does "Fall of Reach" have a multiplayer view, no. It's a game, multiplayer will use most if not all campaign's features with added additions of course. Like in Halo 3 campaign, that drop item that you could use to be invulnerable for about a minute was not in Halo 3 multiplayer, get it?

Well I suppose in infection it forces players to have that variant. But the main idea of it being an armor variant still stands.
