First off i will say that i have been happy with the remakes HALO has given us. Midship looks great with the update. However im going to get to the point
Maps id like to see, what id like to see and why
-Valhalla(Blood Gulch:H1, Coagulation:H2)
Well hands down the classic battle ground of HALO. However many people didnt enjoy the layout of Valhalla and i understand why. I think to make it better, Id like to see it similar to Valhalla just with a more old school touch. Cut down the hill a lot, in half if anything letting players be able to slightly aim across the field, or at least see just above players heads from base to base. Leave the mancannons and reinput the teleported secondary basement. Bring back the banshee bay! The river dip in the ground is awesome, keep it. adds more player cover to the open field. Redo the caves, they are kind of weak in H3. and instead of the wide open right side lets get more of a rocky terrain again lol.
-Longest:H1(Elongation:H2)
It was probably the most balanced and best close quarters matched map. For H:CE it had cover against the pistol and defence against the shotgun. Im expecting the new 1h magnum to be in Reach so bringing this map back would be sweet. Dont make it like Elongation with the fed ex ramps. Return the shotgun bays w/ latters! and lets get a upstairs that is more catwalk like than it is a bridge from one side to the other. It was way more entertaining being forced to the ground in order to change sides.
-Last Resort:H3(Zanzibar:H2)
This map made the progression into Xbox Live and was the Blood Gulch of HALO2(i know Coag was there but you get my drift). Keep it running for another game, the set up is fair and the arena is balanced. To be honest i dont know what to change but Bungie has a good development team for that :D
-The Pit:H3
Whoever doesnt like the pit im sorry, but this map has rocked since i have played it Day1 on HALO3. If there was a change id have to say if anything open up the third floor for use, change the sword area to be an underground bunker and the OS to be in a elevated hallway, changes like that would be cool to see.
-Headlong:H2
It was the best objective map in the game. The broken bridge and I-beams made this map a riot. The set up was genius in the construction yard. Lets see a model of Headlong except built or if anything been destroyed. This map helped make assault what it was and even tho i highly like Longshore, Headlong would be great to have back.
Theres much more id like to see and if this thread grows ill add on, otherwise im going to leave it at that. Just my thought on map remakes. I left out some others cause im sure people will touch on them lol. So what you all think.
