I have a gold account, cable, H2, and 360. Could I just hook it up and join matchmaking with my account or not?

Thanks in advance.

Yup, but what do you mean 'hook it up'? Is that slang for 'insert your H2 disk'? You do have to use the H2 disk menu to navigate to the map packs.

Halo 2 matchmaking is still up and running. The article that started all the rumors about it being shut down was a what if thing.

LINK. This is proof that it is still up and running.

As for being able to play it, you should be fine once you update the game, and download all the maps for it.

Its not shutting down. Check your facts next time. All you need to do is download the updates and download all the map packs from halo 2 live menu. Online still works fine and it works just fine with the xbox 360 as long as you have a hard drive attached to your 360.

By 'hook it up' I meant connect the cable from your modem to your 360. Apologies for not making that unclear.

I get it now, I'm a little slow sometimes. I thought since you had Gold and cable you were already set for online play, my bad.

yeah me too I'm just wondering so is there always people willing to play like in H3? because I'm planning on buying it because I have all of the same stuff that you do so do the map packs cost any microsoft points or are they free?

  • 10.14.2009 10:06 PM PDT

They are free online, not free (ripoff) on disk.
