*I know there is a Halo Reach multiplayer wants and ideas thread already, but I prefer to post the following in a new thread. Sorry if this has been brought up already, I'm not really active on the forums.
I got a few suggestions for the multiplayer, which I think Bungie should look into.
The first is by far the most important; the veto system. I think it's a great idea, but it can be more efficient. If you allow players to veto the map while it's still loading, people will spend less time in the pregame lobby, and spend more time actually playing.
Second, some changes in the objective carrier system. I think people should still count as an objective carrier like 2 seconds after they last touched it the flag/bomb. When you kill someone that is juggling the flag, you might not get a medal, because at the moment you kill them, they're not holding the objective.
Also, a medal for killing the person holding the oddball. I mean, there's one for the flag and bomb, so why not for the oddball?
Finally, it would be nice to see flag/bomb time in the gamestats, since bombplants/flagscores don't tell the real story.
Third, it would be great to see firefight in Reach, but this time also with the possibility to search for players online to play with.
These were my serious suggestions. For fun I'll also add some ideas that are less realistic to actually get realized.
- Bots in customs would be AWESOME
- No more Grifball, so that when you look at someone's stats at Bungie.net you can tell what the "legit" multi-kills are.
- Double Experience playlists every day. I use my weekends mostly to work/party, so not much time to play awesome playlists like Team Flag and Fiesta. Plus, Double EXP is usually Grifball, which horrible. Just absolutely horrible.
