Bungie Isn't God... Blame Stosh

I'm going to point out that this idea has sooo many problems with it, that Bungie will probably never be able to do it, but still.... TRY Bungie!!!

I am sick and tired of being stuck in a game with these little 5 year olds, 8 year olds, and 12 year olds whos voices shatter eardrums because they have yet to hit puberty.

XBL Parties only work so well. You can't always get in a party, and sometimes there is an important conversation where you have to be there, and you can't mute them, because they are on your team, and you have to order them around (not common, but it happens).

If we had MM servers with age requirements (most likely hooked into the XBL age systems that prevent people under 18 from downloading M rated content), we would not have that problem anymore. We would not have to have our eardrums constantly broken by these little whiny babies with pre-puberty voices. We would be free from the fail at last!!!!!!

Let the flaming begin. I know there will be some on this topic. Most likely done by these no-nothing brats:

PS- For referance, I am 18. So when you try to flame me saying that I am too old to even be playing anyway, and I should go buy my adult diapers and stfu, it won't work, and you will look like an idiot.

Thanks for listening!!! *Gives audience a great big hug*

So who are we?

Most kids change their age when they start an account, so this wouldn't work. Muting is a viable option, though.

well, if you are over 14, you are the ones complaining about the little kids, feeling opressed, and need freedom from the fail

Yes, I believe I commented on the muting part of this, and why it doesn't always work, or can't always be implemented.

Nah, foman would come and pwn this thread amirite?

  • 10.12.2009 9:52 AM PDT

It sure would be nice if we could search for games with a more restrictive set of requirements such as age group. Good idea, but I doubt they restrict matchmaking at all, and definitely not by age. So it unfortunately does come down to that old saying about "mute all" then everyone becomes a great opponent.

he would look at it, and rewrite it saying that the brat-children were the ones who wanted this, and I'd get epically banned.

Good job acting your age. Just because they are immature doesn't give you the right to act like that as well. Oh, and it's "know-nothing".

Furthermore, the one critical flaw with your plan is that people can easily lie about their age, and there really isn't anything that you can do to ensure they won't. Unless you want to make account making on Xbox Live a formal procedure where you meet with an Xbox Live representitive in real life and you procure your birth certificate so they can verify what age you actually are before they okay the account.

Stop destroying the environment, get of that computer and go into your backyard and build a nuclear powerplant...

:)

Say you cant mute them there on your team is just kinda stupid. I am 13 and my voice is low yet most of my friends are still high yet when i go into a game no one NEVER complains, they just stick with the fact that there voice is high pitch and just mute them. You talk about cant mute because you need to speak tactics, well most people wont listen to you and will ignore you and go alone. If you are so desperate to play with people who will respond then get a party of some friends and play some match making. Plus this wouldnt work and NEVER will... Just about EVERYONE who is 12 or under will lie about there age and put there parents because the age limit for live is 13+
Just to add, am getting quite annoyed about people complaining about 10 year old kids of XBL mute them then just carry on think about it... Listen to a voice that will drive you crazy just because you need to speak tactics or just join on of your friends party's and talk to them.

The internet is a bad place.

Woa,how about we all gang up on the guy huh?

Ofcourse the system isn't infallible, but SOME system to improve the chances of encountering likeminded people in MM would be nice right?

We get to have a good time with likeminded individuals.
The trolls and the 5-year old trash talkers can go -blam!- against eachother.

Everyone is happy right?

Dude I don't care and my grammer is perfect.I used "Big", as you recall it to mak is specific."to not do...",is incorrect beause "do" is present tense/perfect(or future) when it was a past tense.

What about the rare breed of mature kids/teens? What do we do?

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

I'm fifteen dude. I often feel that I'm more mature than people ten years older than me. Placing age restrictions would if anything INCREASE the number of kids you hear, especially if you're eighteen. People 30+ would be fine, but people 8-25 would all be paired up together as no one would admit that they're younger than 18. I did that before I smartened up.

I think the best solution is to grow a pair and suck it up. There are kids, and they can be annoying. The easiest solution is to mute them.
