This is to all the people who say CoD is better then halo or that Halo is better then CoD. The truth is neither of them are better then the other, and why one is not better then the other is because you cant compare them to eachother. They are totally different games that are meant to play differently.

Thats why I vote for it to be more like Halo because, well, it is Halo.

HALO REACH there are NO COD gimmacks in it if they didnt do it with ODST then they sure as BLARGH arnt going to it with Reach no matter how popular MW2 is going to be. Also once again its HALO Reach not COD Reach it isnt even on the same planet. and the guys on the banner are obveously spartans so why would they have a One shot one kill with a guy in a huge suit of armor

Have you ever played Call of Duty competitively? It requires team work and calling out.

Let me ask you this, if you miss your first br shot against someone in you 40 level MLG match what happens?

If I want to play COD, I WILL PLAY COD.

KEEP HALO SEPERATE.
This would make Bungie the worst developer of all time if they copy COD IN ANY WAY. Halo needs to stay different. If they introduce sprinting or classes, I will not ever guy the game.


Bungie, don't listen to the fans wanting you to copy COD. YOU Are the developers not us, YOU know what makes Halo a great game, NOT the fans. If you listen to the dumb fans YOU WILL RUIN THE HALO FRANCHISE.

Keep doing what you do as the PROFESSIONALS and keep making great Halo games on YOUR OWN forget about what the stupid fans say, when you make what YOU GUYS DECIDE ON it is usually better than a fan-demand.































































COD is JUST A TREND, HALO is a LIFETIME LEGACY.

Don't copy something smaller that won't last as long as Halo. Period, Halo is bigger.

Halo: CE and Halo 3 were very similar. Game play wise. Lets just pretend equipment never happened.

Equipment isn't that bad... all that needs to happen is to make the flare not painful to use, make the radar jammar a bit more subtle so it isn't obvious when it is being used against you and could actually throw off people, and nerf the regenerator so that it recharges your shields more slowly or the radius of recharge is shrunken so its easier to hit people with grenades while they are inside of it.




I agree. I love equipment. it's just not to thought out. like the trip mine. why dose it glow and beep? and if you do get some one to trip over it it's not even a one shot kill! I love it all. I just hope bungie makes it not as pointless.
trip mine is mostly to flip vehicles, i think, to make it easier to take em out

If I wanted Halo to be more like COD i would just Play COD cause if you mess with the Halo to much You will have some ticked off fans. The changes will come very subtle as they already have. But not enough to effect the gameplay that we no and love "30 seconds of FUN"

I want it to be halo, but that may mean something else to you. To me, "Halo" is great storyline, futuristic theme, AMAZING music, and top-notch fun. Halo has a very unique feel to it. Halo Wars, for example, felt very halo, but it wasn't even a first-person shooter.
A class-based or squad based game could, and would feel very halo if left in the hands of Bungie. It would still have the halo feel to it. But people are so blinded by fanboyism that they fail to understand this, and automatically think it'll turn out bad.

Bungie could pull off killstreaks, and they could be amazing. But some parts of CoD like ironsights and sprinting do not fit in with halo, n matter how hard you try. So from what you are generalizing CoD to be, I would not like.

Yes, we are a spartan(s) in a five man squad. The single player has been described to feel like a squad based shooter without the extra baggage and mechanics that come with a squad based shooter.

In other words, in previous Halo games your allies were marines. If you were playing anything above normal difficulty, you were lucky to get a single marine to survive for more than a few fights. They felt completely worthless as you, this god like entity of war, swept through the battle slaughtering all that stood before you.

Reach is trying to make you feel like you are an unstoppable force which contrasts with your almost certain inevitable doom via scorching lasers. But its going to be hard to balance. At one end of the scale, your spartan allies are just as weak as the marines and the illusion is broken. At the other end, your spartan allies are too strong and the game plays itself.

This. It would make for such a powerful game to first demonstrate the massive force behind a single Spartan squad, and then throw them onto Reach just before it gets fast and you see them required to stand up to something that they never had to before in order to survive. Their humanity.

I actually wouldn't mind this game taking on a different outlook on the Halo gameplay. It could go squad-based, it could go realistic, it could go class-oriented, etc. I wouldn't really care, as long as it was pulled off right.

I would personally love a "realistic" game which plays out like in the novels. You can sprint, have "Spartan vision," all weapons are more powerful, melee combat becomes more intristic (i.e. grapple with a Brute) so it would feel like you were a Spartan, not some unstoppable tank.

It would make for a much more serious game, too, perfectly fitted for the fall of Reach.

I don't think Halo and CoD would mix that well.

One thing I would like to see added to Reach that is in COD 4 is some decent weapon balance. I just don't enjoy playing Halo 3's MM when the only gun people use that is not a power weapon is a BR. CoD WaW has the same problem as Halo 3 does when the only gun you need to be successful is an MP40. BR lovers claim that it is the only weapon that requires skill, but I just don't think that is true.

A truly skilled player is one who can pick up any weapon around them and be successful with it. A truly great player is one who is not a one-trick pony. I'm not saying that that you can't be a good player if you are proficient one gun in particular. You can be a great sniper or a great driver you just shouldn't put down others for choosing to wield other weapons when you choose to use the best all around weapon in the game whether it is the BR in Halo 3 or the MP40 in CoD WaW.

The problem is that right now not many other weapons besides the BR and Carbine can really fight back effectively against a BR or Carbine.

AR:clip is too shallow and too inaccurate when compared to the BR
Needler: useless unless you hit them with all 7 needles
Magnum: fires too slowly and has an unforgiving magazine.
Spiker: Spikes move too slowly and drop down too fast to be used at any range farther than point-blank.
PP: 26 shots to kill and travels slowly. Its more of a tool then a weapon.
PR: Again, plasma travels slowly and has a very hard time finishing off unshielded foes.
