With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

For college, I plan on getting a laptop. I want to get something that can play computer games with ease... But I also hear that Macs are generally better than PCs.

I know Macs don't have as many games that can be played on them...

And I know I won't be able to play Diablo II with a Mac.

What should I get?

PC...
Macs look cool and works good but if u want to play ANY advanced grafic games (ie Halo, Unreal Tournament, C&C Generals) u have to get a PC becouse the mac simply cant handle that amount of grafics! (save for maybe Halo MAC but i heard there are several problems with it)

Also if u want a laptop i strongly recomnend u to get atleast:
Athlon XP 2000+/Intel Pentium 4M 2.0ghz
a big brand GFX card like Nvidias GEFORCE 4/FX, or ATI RADEON

u should also watch out for the big brands like HP, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens and Toshiba cuz they usually put in an Intel onboard GFX card that SUX! (trust me i got experiance of those.. it overloaded my CPU so my comp crashed when playing Halo :P)

also a laptop with incredibly strong GFX/CPU's usually tend to kill the batteries in an hour of playing without the plug inserted...

|WORDLIST FOR NEWBIES|
* CPU (Central Processing Unit) aka processor: the computers "Brain" it calculates data sent from the other parts of the computer and sends it to GFX card/Monitor for the user to read/react to
* GFX Card aka Grafic card: this is the part that works out all the goodies that later is shown on your monitor! the better u got the better the games runs!

Alienware gaming laptop.

Yeah, it's 3,000, but it's the best gaming laptop out there.

I would go PC. I didn't know that people say Mac is better. I've always heard the opposite. And yes, you can play Diablo 2 on Mac (in fact I have before). Blizzard is one of the few companies that consistently releases games for both PC and Mac.
