Graphics, large area maps and the fact that you can actually DRIVE vehicles. The story line never really jabbed me because, face it folks, how many video games are out there where youre the LOOOONE soldier facing unbelievable aliens forcxes bent on the destruction of ther human race. Not to say that im not a HUUUUUUGE Halo fan, but...can anyone say "Contra"?

I played it first at my friend's house. I liked the graphics and the gameplay.

The awsome gfx, the vehicles, the HUGE outdoor environtment and offcourse the STUNNING storyline! and yes i know it's a VERY common theme (aliens attack and almost destroying mankind, you'r the last one of ur kind, blablabla)

but the game combines all these things and u get an amazing game!

First time that I played halo was at a friends house. We had 3 tv's, and 3 x-boxs connected, and I was instantly hooked with the game. Many features of the multiplayer just made me like it a lot. We had great CTF games. Later that day I bought a copy of it.... and an x box :)

Opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one.

Knowledge is knowing Tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

There is no such thing as a bad decision, only good decisions based on flawed information.

I remember playing the first time. It was co-op and we had just got to the second level thinking "wow, this is something else". All of a sudden, and Pelican roared into view and i noticed what looked like a jeep hanging off the back. My first Warthog! My friend and i spent the next 5 minutes figuring out the controls, him driving and me shooting the LAAG. Once we had figured out the controls we were amazed by hat a good idea it was that the warthog steers itself, you just point where you want to go.

:D

First time I was hooked was at a friends house. We started playing Campaign and I was getting intrigued by the amazing graphics, the weapons, and most importantly the warthog. The night after, I couldn't even fall asleep. One day later, I was firing up my newly bought xbox and Halo.

The computer A.I. was the best I have ever seen in any first person shooter.
The attention to detail was just so great...

From the graphics to the animation...

To the little the things the marines say when they are in combat with you...

LOL.....

OR AGAINST YOU!!!!

Just shoot two marines back to back and you'll see what I'm talking about.
